I think Jose Mourinho wasn't happy with Manchester United's boards and he was forced to use players that available around him. He frustrated and cannot handle the pressure and cannot think clearly about what to say to the media. The media can be managers' enemy and football players' enemy. Jose Mourinho's situation might be similar to Dangerous Minds movie (1995)

He might know that some players hasn't ability that would suit with Jose's tactical system. He frustrated and cannot handle the pressure and cannot think clearly about what to say to the media.
