To play against an opposition that is heavily based on possession like city, it would not be wise to use an attacking formation. So that's why most of the team that have played against city have use a defensive formation and focusing heavily on counter attack. The fact that city can even score to play against a team that defense heavily and can do that in a consistent manner prove why this is the best club in Europe at the moment. Say what you want about how the opposition side miss their chances, or the fact that city is just lucky, the fact of the matter is that this club is just too good and they are on their own level right now.
