"destroy PSG"... It took Liverpool fans 5 games to get cocky.

Lucky for them Liverpool couldn't finish their attacks well today because Liverpool dominated them and really should have score about 6 goals today.

Great win! No need to bash Mane.... Salah could have passed himself a few times..
If Firmino is out I hope Studs gets the nod tomorrow!
Come on Red men!

Game called for Shaqiri yesterday when Firmino was injured. Strurridge in my view should be sold in Winter as in my view he is bringing nothing to the team. LFc title contenders......too early to say. Liverpool had many stupid unconverted chances and scored 2 but Spurs were surpassed and scored one. i imagine if Moura's shot was a few centimeters from the post, it would have been a draw. To me Liverpool is trending in dangerous waters with their two last games ending in 2-1 and allowing goals in the second half. I sense a lot of complaisance up in front that could end up in a draw for the next game..if they do not wake up fully

well said bruv, alot of laxity up front especially

Well said but its a result at Wembley so a 2-1 is definitely good enough. Agree though our front 3 are missing chances that we definitely would have put away last season. Hopefully their scoring form comes to play soon enough going to need it to be title contenders! Defence still looking stable a lot of improvement closing out these crucial games. Might have the best D in the league.

Wijnaldum has really stepped up his game this season.

They're a cut above Spurs, unfortunately. Midfield is where the difference is truly felt.

Nuetral towards both teams, but can someone explain how why it wasn't a foul on Vorm by VVD on the first goal

ChawyLFC 8 years ago

Maybe because VVD was being literally hugged and couldn't move at all. Should have been a penalty to Liverpool actually.

I don't mean the contact was a foul, but after Vorm punched the ball, VVD stuck his arm out and made contact and made Vorm lose his balance, which is probably why he couldn't get back on time to make the save. I know it might have been a harsh call, but Ive seen a lot of cases where even the slightest interference with the GK is a foul, so I was just wondering.

Don't want to see Mane in the starting XI anymore! Selfish player with too many wrong decisions.... start Shaqiri instead

I agree. As a neutral, I thought Mane under-performed today.

Wouldn't mind swapping mane with bernardeshi will ya?

i mean, i know youre trolling. but wanting mane out of the strating XI when he has arguably been our best player is some next level sh*t. i will concede that he was quite selfish today - and so was salah. but we won right? and im sure klopp will scold them both considering his reaction

Absolutly horrific play by spurs .... this is their problem, play shit when fans expect you to win , very poor match Liverpool should win by 5 golas

Like expected... EPL looks like it will be a race between Man City and Liverpool. But it took these two teams record signings on the defensive part to get here. Isn't it like Sir Ferguson said "Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles"...?!

Robertson, Alexander Arnold and Gomez cost next to nothing for Liverpool..

Yeah chelsea are in the race and they have looked good, but I ultimately expect it to be a fight between Man city and Liverpool.

yes because you are but hurt because we always destroy you... that is why you write us off

Chelsea have only knocked out Paris once in the UCL while Paris knocked Chelsea out twice. " destroyed '"

@Morrizen: Write you off? No Chelsea will most likely end at the top 4 of the table maybe better, but I just agree with what most pundits have said.

Spurs go to Old Trafford and play their hearts out against United. Then roll over and get torched at Wembley with Kane forgetting how to play football. Typical.

Manchester United 0 158

Lol. Did you watch that match? They didnt play their hearts out. Manu were better. Just that Old Trafford posts did not do enough,
