All Portugal did was play like trash for 90 mins then score two cheap goals from crosses...

Bagofdicks says it like goals from crosses are easy.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. CR7 is an inspiration to all those that think they don't have it.

So you're saying Ronaldo doesn't have talent and Messi doesn't work hard? Cmon, dont be a fool.

I don't get it mate. Do you really think Messi didn't work hard?

Nah Ronaldo 100% has the talent obviously. But his workrate has excelled him to another level. A lot of players have talent but don't play consistently for their career. CR7 has pushed himself to make the most of his talent and also his ambition to want more.

Thank you LoveKavi for understand what I am trying to say.

Of course Ronaldo has talent and Messi works hard. However, I would say Ronaldo just push himself to the limit, breaking record after record, helping clubs and country win titles. And of course his goal scoring form at such age is magnificent. I am not against Messi. I like Messi. I see some of the things he had done, no one else can do, not even CR7. That's purely talent. He is born that way. That's why many ppl say Messi is from another planet. That's where my point are.

Bernardo is good indeed
Guedes? He is Not 1 not even 2 option...
But now we have Gelson Martins, Andre Silva and Bruno fernandes
These 3 + plus Bernardo are in fact a major difference
The only thing Portugal is missing is another great Center Back to make team with Pepe
Because in te rest we’ve got an amazing team

Guedes is having a great season at valencia which is a good for you guys. Gonna watch players you mentioned. But yeah now i see portugal a team to be worried about. After all cr7 is in form and thats enough to give any opponent problems

CR7 and Messi will be missed more. Iniesta will be missed like Zidane, or Xavi.

Yeah right toure does

For those who downvoted, I think it was irony

I can't believe he's adapted to playing a CF role now so well, all footballers need to think like that. Adapt when you can't do what you used to. He used to be an insane winger, now he's an insane CF, this is just insane at 33.

I mean he's been a CF for 4-5 years now, but yeah its still impressive.

@T1lt3d: He’s only really been CF for two years. His total numbers considering he’s played as a left midfielder/winger for the vast majority of his career is completely insane. Won’t happen again.

He's transitioned smoothly that's the thing. He's played on the LW but drifted to the middle through the way RM play, so he was practically a hybrid, most his dangers never come from dribbling from the LW. Over the past few years he's adapted to the CF position properly. Now he can easily be classified as a straight up CF. Benzema playing false 9 can allow CR on the LW switch into CF when Benz creates space for him.

It's always good to learn from older and more experienced people.

Anybody know if they will be wearing that UEFA champion's patch at the WC?
