OptaJoe on Twitter - 3 - FK Qarabag are only the third team to pick up a red card in three consecutive Champions League games (also Bordeaux in 2000 and Juventus in 2001). Dismissed.

I feel so bad for Qarabag they were playing really good until that penalty, both penalty were so soft and second was not even penalty tbh. That red card was so harsh even as a Chelsea fan I felt so unhappy watching this game. Much respect to Qarabag and hope they do well this season.
We could have watched a better game, but referee's harsh decision(s) ruined it. Still Qarabag played well against the world's one of the best teams. Best of luck Chelsea!

That first penalty was an effin joke. He just falls. Yes, there's a contact but it's not a foul. He just crosses the way. What is the defender supposed to do? The second penalty was even more of a joke. If the ref doesn't call these fouls in midfield he shouldn't do it in the penalty box either.
Clear penalty, Wilian would have taken the ball he was faster and it's a goal chance...the only way to stop him was to hold him, he stopped ref saw it.
I mean Chelsea was going to win the game, but the referee decisions f*cked Qarabag pretty badly, shame. I bet that he wouldn't blow that 2nd penalty on the other side. It's exactly these referees decisions, Kompany didn't get a red card for much worse tackle on Vardy when he was through on goal. However good luck chelsea in the next round!
Playing in Premier League isn't the same as playing in Europe, the ref didn't want players to hold shirts and push and Willian is faster than all of those guys, he in Premier League is playing poorly but tonight he could use his pace where the ref didn't want to see anything pass...
Lol it was a training session. Dominated. Haha. Also comparing a club like Anderlecht who has a history on the European scene to a unknown team we'll never ever see again in the Champions League. Good troll tho

To anyone who thinks that the penalties and the sending off were thoroughly undeserved: read the FA laws on fouls and misconduct. First one was just a bit harsh, but it still made sense. You cant be reckless inside the box and get away with it, plain and simple.
Just wait january when City needs to rest key players they will trop points easy...We already had injured Morata,Kante,Hazard,Bakayoko and suspended Luiz,Fabregas!

The second was a penalty for sure coz' you cant really recklessly pull an opponent's shirt inside the box. It was the first penalty that was a bit harsh since the contact wasn't too severe, but even then it was a serious goal-scoring opportunity so any sort of foul would've seen red. Still felt bad for Qarabag though.... Would've loved to see an intense game instead of the glorified training session that came about after the sending off. Respect to Qarabag indeed. On the flip side, we're now through to the R16 which is pretty exciting stuff :D
That's less than 20 min of play, before the first penalty. Whole game they couldn't keep up with Willian ref saw the pulling and pushing and holding, specially the second penalty but in both cases Willian was much quicker on the ball.
Are you sure spain is the best example for simulation handling? lmao
Watch out KdB, there's another player gunning for player of the season.
