ya sevilla were not great in the first half but did what they had to in the second. liverpool did nothing in the second. remember liverpool always perform at home against big teams and sevilla are not a giant but theyre a good team.

There's a revision in the new Law of the Game. They call it double punishment. For you to concede a penalty and be given straight red, they think it isn't fair, so a penalty and yellow card is enough. Unless of course if you already had a yellow, then it is a sending off but for double yellow.

@ Granite: totally agree with you :( I thought Liverpool had it, the penalty missed, and many chances are wasted. But Liverpool defense is horrendous this game. What on earth is Lovren doing? He missed like two three tackles, poor positioning through out, terrible decision and so slow. Matic offered a lot with his forward run, but hey, his job as a CB is to defend not running up to the opposition box and when he lost the ball, Liverpool had only two in the back.

Moreno played a brilliant offensive game as always. Gomez is playing fine but his reckless tackle and decision gave him a red card. And he is not good one on one in the second half with Sevilla striker :( Liverpool should have won this .

if sevilla comes out of group stage they will be immediately knocked out.
