Hopeless from the first minute. Slow, insipid, bereft of ideas, creativity, urgency or any sort of desire or hunger. One of the most non existent performances I've ever been unfortunate to witness. Just a disaster throughout.

It seems that everyone in the media and on the internet want to talk about the mental attitude and inspiration of the team being the root cause of this horrid performance. I'm taking a different direction. This system is designed to have play built up through the middle. We can't do that when were playing people out of position in key parts of the formation. Suso is not a support striker or a playmaker, he's a pure right winger. Bonaventura is not a CM or even an attacking mid, he's a LM or a LW. Montella has experimented playing these 2 out of position and now we know, but bringing on Cutrone (in the 77th min) over Andre Silva is ABSOLUTELY inexcusable. If the ostracisation of Silva continues into the next game then we can confirm Montella has a problem with him and that doesn't bode well

Agree with you 100%. The team selection Montella chose didn't suit the formation well at all. We did well with the 3-5-2 formation with Andre Silva because he would run at the defence without the ball which would open space for the midfield to be creative. When Suso was playing as support, he woulddnt run at the defence, instead playing in the pocket. As a result the midfield would be congestive not allowing necessary time and space for our creative players to and supply the forwards with effective passes.

I'm an Inter fan. But I must say that hand ball on Kessie was some real bullshit. Where is he supposed to put his arm. It's on his body. Is he supposed to put his arm up in the air? I hate those dumb ass penalty kicks. Ref is stupid.

With all that money spent, I expected Milan to challenge for the title lmao

Just because you buy lots of players and spend big money doesn't mean you will succeed. If you buy 100 mediocre players for 1 billion does that make you automatically title challenger?

they spent on average players. they won't challenge for the title.

Well, there goes the 100+ million you spent this transfer window. I bet Bonucci is regretting going to Milan.

Has the season finished already, or are you seeing into the future, dear messiah? We're 6 games into the season, and the team has 2 points more than last season. For sure, it was a horrendous performance. but there is still 32 games left.

What a fucking shame of a display. It was a total embarrassment watching Milan play today. I love this team to death, but certain things have to be said... there is just no excuse to go out into the pitch with such a mediocre attitude.

I'm a United fan and we have that after SAF, but we that was another story. Milan have had time to build properly, but it seems this season is a whole new episode. I don't think you can expect anything great especially when buying many players but they probably don't understand each other, language barriers, social aspects etc... I guess we football fans have to be more patient, sometimes the Clubs board may just fire the manager before they could really do anything as well. Expectations are so high now that you have to do good within not just 1 season, but within a few games. Really hard to create a bunch of individuals that can work together within a short amount of time. Especially more arrogant, overpaid, young players.

Milan got Kalinic and Andre Silva. Kalinic for one has 2 goals from 2 starts, and is much better suited to Serie A. Bacca fell away badly in the second half of last season. Milan need a striker who can play a part in the build up player, and unfortunately Bacca didn't have the positional sense and first touch to do that.

A 3-5-1-1 formation with counter attacks against Real Madrid at Bernabeu today. Oh no, wait a minute...
We were playing against Sampdoria! What a nightmare performance... Such a pity!!

He meant the cavalrie, propably mean to say Milan need help. Myself, I sometime wonder if Montella is good enough to motivate his player and to outplay his opponent. :(
