90% of votes for united should be for "lucky", because they were. City dominated the game. Had the ref actually been competent and able to see, we would've been given 2-3 penalties, couple that with the plethora of goal scoring opportunities that Sterling missed and the game is ours. If this helps united fans sleep and forget that it makes absolutely no difference to who wins the league, then by all means go and celebrate like you've won the league :) Just remember you can't say that Manchester is red while winning games solely due to referee mistakes barely against the team that's T H I R T E E N points ahead of you ;)

This is why British refs are not qualified for the world cup and will not be for a long time to come unless.... They need to watch the matches again and again and learn from their mistakes which are countless this season. Hiring non-British refs might be an option for next season. A penalty, a foul or a red card can change everything in football !

this will teach them not to count their eggs, they were so cocky and arrogant thinking that they will win the EPL against United. i wonder if they could do a Newcastle of 95/96 season!

Dreaming of that. Spurs next week could beat City. Imagine the scenes if City lose a few more and United win all the remaining games

Lmao simmer down. You only won because of 2 denied penalties and an offside goal, this was a robbery but the reason not many people care is because the gap is so large that it doesnt make a difference

Mate stuff like this happens in like every game. Officiating is poor, no doubt. But either way, City didn't finish their chances whilst United did. City will be bitter because the treble has been hit hard and now the PL is the only target, which they've all but won. And we didn't only win because of what you said, we won because we won. Excuses are for the weak, City should have won 5-0+ but didn;t.

Yes City were wasteful, and their defense was awful in the 2nd half, but thats not an excuse that a penalty + red card wasn't given for youngs challenge, nor his handball that prevented Aguero from having a tapin, top it off with an offside goal to win the game and you have a match ruined by refs. And City need to lose every single game but 1 to lose the league (considering that United don't drop any points till the end of the season, which they probably will) so I wouldn't count on the league.

Also, if you think City are 100% out of the CL, you're wrong. Barca were down 4-0 last season and went through. Its unlikely City can do it, especially if Liverpool can get an away goal, but its possible.

Man Utd were lucky, but luck favours only the brave; so probably deserved the win in the end.

Damn, City have been really getting f*cked by refs lately. vs. Liverpool they get an offside goal against them and a clear penalty not given, which turned a 2-1 loss into a 3-0. This game the last goal is also marginally offside, plus 2 clear penalties (awful challenge and handball) not given. Can only imagine that next season with VAR they will be more dominant than this one.

Pogba was excellent. Especially those runs into the box. But Sanchez was brilliant. He played those key passes. Sanchez MoTM IMO.

It's true that MC could have finished the game in the first half, was a bit unlucky and De Gea was in the super sayan mode again. But thats football, MU took the chance, reshaped the tactic and got the result. It doesnt change much for the title, but it an incredible come back. Still

Sterling's mind
before the game: Ah! lost a UCL game against my former club. It can't get worse than this
At the end of first half: Ah! I missed a chance to score a hat-trick derby. It can't get worse than this
After the game: Ah! Not only I missed chances, I blocked a shot to goal and deflected it to post. I don't understand meaning of life anymore.
