I could swear the ref's whistle went before Mane grabbed the ball. In which case it's a natural reaction, he drew the foul, and takes the ball to start the counter.

But i can't find a replay that shows it.

Ok found a replay, the whistle didn't go before, but even the commentators thought the decision was foul on Mane. weird moment for sure.
