People saying that Alexis chose money (Man Utd) over City... The fact is, City actually walked away from him saying that the price tag was too high!! Just like they did with Mahrez on the transfer window deadline day, but bought Laporte instead for £57 million! Joke of a club!

Well, not exactly, its more of a question of priority, they needed someone to help fix their defense more than they needed another winger.

Why would they need this old failure of a winger when they have Sane, Silva, and Sterling?

He simply is not worth the wage he was asking for. And yes, he DID choose money over the prospect of winning trophies, only deluded united fans would disagree with that :)

lol Dario I thought you're one of the matured United fans. I respected you because of that but since you commented that way, I guess you're just the same as other united fans dissing other clubs just cause. :P

@Emo - Yes they did, but you cannot deny that City took interest in him! And as soon Utd took interest in him, they walked away!

@NovaRuk - No i'm not the same as the other United fans, i just got absolutely fed up of people criticizing Sanchez! It was his choice, and isn't he allowed to do what he wants to? Wouldn't more money attract you either?? United is way a bigger club than City, way more history and earning way more money anyway. Just coz City are more likely to win trophies doesn't mean he HAS to go there!! By the sounds of it, he isn't allowed to come Man Utd!!! I'm done.

Yeah, they were interested to get him cheap but it doesn't make them a joke of a club to let him go if they realized competition wanted him more than them. Personally, I don't have any problem seeing Sanchez go to United, even if its for money. Obviously, lots of Arsenal fan gonna be sour but I wouldn't let them get to me if I were you. ;)

I understand that. Yes United is a bigger club than all other in England in terms of trophies but don't you think United fans are becoming more like Liverpool fans, I mean talking about history and doesn't think about the potential future your club becoming to? Alexis on the other hand if he wanted more money could've went to China but here, if he performs badly he will get criticized badly enough than when he's at Arsenal.

Besides, Man City walked away because Sanchez could become a surplus to requirement looking at his age and isn't worth to spend money on him. Laporte on the other hand is a young promising defender and still only 23 so the money is worth spending looking at his potential.

@Emo - Yeah, but its not only Arsenal fans that sour! It's everyone by the sounds of it!

@NovaRuk - Yeah, so is history not important then?? Yeah but i mean, who would in their right mind, want to play in China? Apart from the money, what is good? The football is terrible! And that is true about him becoming a surplus requirement and Laporte a promising young talent but come on!! They've already got plenty of defenders as well! All i know is that Sanchez isn't allowed to come to United and gets criticised for doing so!! Whereas if he'd gone to City, he would have been praised and loved etc not just by City fans, but by everyone!!! It seems that just coz United is such a big club, everyone hates them! It's so daft, but whatever. People can have their own opinions i guess! :D

Man City got plenty of poor defenders before. You couldn't really count on Mangala to save the defense. He was really poor and at fault for conceding a goal to Bristol City in the first leg of Carabao. Fergie himself has stated that "Attack wins you game, Defense wins you titles". IMO, Mourinho should focus on his defense rather than buying wingers or hijacking rivals' target. IMO again, Bailly is the only defender that Utd have that you can rely on. Jones can be good sometimes but really clumsy if dealing with fast paced attacking. Smalling too old and slow and Lindelof doesn't have much experience.

Sanchez is an old failure... Are you smoking weed? Have you seen him playing for Arsenal and Chile. During his stay at Arsenal he has super seeded Özil, Ramsey and the rest of the Arsenal.

I totally agree with City’s decision to pull out. Put it this way, the entire team has worked extremely hard to the point where City look like they will break records. If Sanchez came along and just became their highest wage earner then City players would likely lose morale and momentum, plus Sane would have been benched, changing their system. Laporte wasn’t asking for extreme wage demands and if there’s an area City needs improving after LB, surely is CB.

There was only 1 Sanchez in that game last night and that was Davinson. Wembley was electric best atmosphere aside from the Madrid game that i've had there this year. The whole team was superb. Dembele bullied pogba, Vertonghen had Lukaku in his pocket and the full backs were outstanding. Erikssen is very important, not the same when he doesnt play. #COYS

once upon the time during SAF , Anderson was bossing player like Modric in Midfield and comeback from 0-2 to 5-2, now Dier and Eriksen bossing midfield and make Pogba and Matic clueless.

Also once upon a time Manchester United won 4:0 away vs Spurs where Vidic scored a goal and was bossing the defence while Scholes and Giggs were playing with Spurs, 11 seconds goal vs Man Utd is unheard of, untill now.

Watched this at the Spurs bar in Manhattan this afternoon. Was in awe and absolutely loving that first goal. Wouldn't expect that in a 1,000 years. Thank God Eriksen is back, he hasn't played in 2.5 weeks. We were sorely missing him, it was clear to see in Southampton and Newport matches... He is the link, the master puppeteer man between defense and attack, the grand wizard, maybe just as important as Kane.

The thing with tonight's match is, Spurs should have won 4,5,6-0. Kane was so panicky because he wants his 100th PL goal. The ref was horrendous, a clear penalty wasn't given which Kane would most likely have converted. Mourinho is a joke, leaving for the locker room at 43'. I swear, United is the worst best team out there. Will need time for Sanchez to bed in. Thx,also, Chels
