Hugo Lloris is so overrated

JaapStam 9 years ago

Manchester United, Australia 2 268

Saints were awful until Tadic and Gabbiadini came on in the 2nd-half. Davis left on the Bench. Ward-prowse as well. Yoshida has even come out and said all is not well within the dressing room. Pellegrino had no intention of winning that game, with that attitude, set-up, he's got to be shown the exit door.

Decent performance for a 4th place fighting team, no doubt.

You're fighting for the same place. It's okay though, Barcelona will make sure you go back to just 1 game a week, to help you out.

We're fighting for the second place as the defending champions, at least we dont fall off after 10 games :) Barcelona can try, last time they won was in 2006, they are a non factor to us getting top 2...

The only reason Chelsea are defending champions is because they came 10th the year before, and had no European football. :) City are going to win this year, so you can go ahead and change your team again when they do...

That's not even a valid reason, we were champions before as well with playing Champions league, you're pretty new at this.

Try hattrick against us or Man City, not some middle teams.

Incredible how people can talk so much shit about him. He is one of Spurs' big game players. If he doesn't score he will still have huge influence in attack.

Just accept he is best striker in PL with Aguero and one of most talented players in the world.

amatek 9 years ago

Chelsea, Nigeria 0 42

Oh my. Dude, don't tell me you wouldn't choose Kane over any striker in the EPL today to lead the Chelsea attack ... A striker on Real Madrid's wish list.

Gotta say Hugo Lloris is pretty overrated the guy would flop if he didn't have a team like this Spurs team

He has been pretty disappointing in the last few matches but he still has the calibre.

Imagine the positions Chelsea and City would be in without Russian and UAE money, respectively.

What a pointless hypothesis. You can say that about any team. And its not like they bought his goals. He came through their youth system.

amatek 9 years ago

Chelsea, Nigeria 0 42

OK, lets test your Spurs knowledge. Imagine the position of Spurs without Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Teddy Sheringham, Edgar Davids, Kyle Walker, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas, Paulinho, ... oh, and Michael Carrick. #Respect

Spurs fans and neutrals as we can see are waxing lyrical about Harry Kane and his goal scoring exploits. And deservedly so as well. But today, Southampton were a disgrace. The goals conceded were just pathetic. The lack of effort and general desire must be painful to watch if you're a Southampton fan. On another note, if Spurs are ever going to take that next step, they need a top goalkeeper. Time and time again, week in week out, Lloris has at least one fatal error in him. Today, both goals were his fault. Nothing he does inspires confidence.

i dont know man. the thing is lloris is a world class gk and he came when spurs were not good and worse than lyon. it's just a love-hate relationship

milanlamiavita 9 years ago

Bustese Milano City, Italy 4 3418

Lloris is a lot of things, but world class he is not. But Spurs have top players everywhere else who help to lessen Lloris' shortcomings.

Kieran2301 9 years ago

Chelsea, France 0 137

Lloris had an early slip up with a header from Rose aswell. It's not fair to label him as not a top goalkeeper tbh.

milanlamiavita 9 years ago

Bustese Milano City, Italy 4 3418

To be fair, that was a mistake by Rose when heading the ball back. But Lloris is awful when positioning himself to guard his near post, and too often had a rush of blood to the head when trying to punch crosses. He had a few heart in mouth moments vs Burnley as well, but got lucky. He has clangers in him week in week out. If he was in goal at Liverpool who have a terrible defence, his shortcomings would be even clearer.

Amazing year for KAAAAAAANE!!! Messi and Ronaldo have been top scorers past 8ish years, and for Kane to end that run is awesome. First English lad with 50 goals in a calendar year since the 1950s, when another Spurs player, Jimmy Greaves, did it. Hugo will not like giving up 2 goals on his birthday, but at least they scored 5 to get the 3 points. Spurs are coming for that 2nd place!!!!! Hope Kane can have a better 2018!! Save some hat tricks for matches against United, Arsenal, and Juventus! Merry Christmas, everyone

LMAO shearer scored 50 plus in a calendar year multiple times during the 90s and mid 2000s
