I am not claiming that India is great at this sport. We definitely have a long long way to go, but we are definitely, slowly emerging as a footballing nation. And not many people know about football in India and hence I just wanted to make you guys aware. No hard feelings. Peace.
Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Carlos, Diego ForlĂĄn, David James, Robert Pires, Alessandro Nesta, Florent Malouda, Nicolas Anelka, David Trezeguet, Joan Capdevila, Luis Garcia, Mikael Silvestre.
- There is also an Futsal League in India called 'Premier Futsal' and the captains of the 6 teams are :
Paul Scholes, FalcĂŁo(Brazilian Futsal Legend), Ronaldinho, MĂchel Salgado, HernĂĄn Crespo and Ryan Giggs. Former Brazil captain Cafu also plays in the league, for Ronaldinho's team.
India are crazy about soccer. The sport is growing really fast all over the country and there are new leagues that have recently been emerging besides their main leagues. Cricket is the most watched sport India but it is closely followed by football. Especially in all the big cities, football is huge for us.

@Danishcold
India doesn't call football 'FOOTABOLA' or any crap like that. We all call it football. There's no other name for the sport here and we play it with the same rules. We aren't from another parallel universe or anything.
