Moral victory for Chelsea the attitude to win the game and Bayerns holding on to their lead. I'd give Chelsea the nod.

whoa morata got judged for a mere 25 minutes by an inter fan. no wonder inter been underachieving recently.

Wait... what was the problem with Diego Costa again?
I remember the talk of him not being good enough but... How so? He's a solid striker and suits Chelsea, why take such a risk with Morata?

The issue per se was not him being good enough. Do you remember towards the beginning of January transfer of last season there was rumor that a Chinese team is considering buying him? Yes, it was true! And they offered him irresistible deal that made him wanted to leave; that's why he missed a game or 2 ( i think?). So conte manage to fix the situation, however he didn't forget what happened. After winning the title, conte texted him that he doesn't want him part of his squad anymore. (implying that he doesn't want a player with that kind of behavior in his team).....

1. Boo Man UTD scumbag. Go away..
2. Regarding Costa... Everyone knows he's a badass... So what if his attitude is not the best? that's what differs him from all the other "clean professional" 10-15 goals-a-season excuses of strikers... Even if Costa is "only" a 20 goal a season striker, still he is very intimidating and causes defenses to panic, creating chances for the entire team.
I think Morata dosen't have that quality.
But I might be wrong.

@TheLamb I am only stating the situation to the guy that asked. The issue of comparison btw Morata and Costa is not something that I have juxtaposed to see who is better. In my opinion tho, I think Morata could add more fluidity to the team and he's also more versatile.

Morata is reminding me of Torres's Chelsea career...hopefully not

Went to see the game and left red faced inside 11 mins, its a combination of Bayern's dominance and our inability to penetrate Bayern's high pressing, seemed to lose the ball every time we went forward in the first 25 mins. Anyway the team still needs work to do decent in europe and we need a talented winger and a backup left back, I think Niang ,El Shaarawy or Carrasco would be good fits. (Ps, Renato Sanchez!! What a player!!)

Dude, chill out. It's a *pre-season friendly*. It's for experimenting. It doesn't mean shit. We will be good, don't worry.

He was sloppy and careless. 25m player max. United dodged a bullet.

He did okay, didn't play too long. Need more games to see what he has to offer, don't listen to the inter fan

Lol Im fine with that. Its a shootout and friendly. What a shitty comeback though. is that even ur best? Haha. How do u even conpare sampdoria and united. United is quite a big club and they are in CL next season. Its all about the end products and 11CL does says it all :D Sit down boi.

haha lol.
It was always going to be hard facing a team really hunting for revenge after a 4-0 drubbing, even if we weren't the team who inflicted it.

Manchester United, England 15 484

as if this was the reason u lost

first half u just played poorer than bayern. was hoping you would come back and take it to penalties in the second half. if only luiz's shot had crept inside the post.

batshuayi looking good again. has really emerged since costa left.

Diego hasn't left yet numpty

chelsea8 9 years ago

Chelsea, Iran 17 2219

@nigel no the reason we lost was because this was bayerns 7th match and chelseas 2nd match.
Bayern just lost 4-0 against milan so another game losing would be embarassing.

Muller and Lewandowski were outstanding. So were Ribery and Sanches (where has he been?). Also big shout-out to Goetze who was superb.

Sanches had finally a good game. Hope we are able to loan him, I don't want to see him fail in Bayern...

Bayern were just far too good in the first 30mins
We were playing so pathetic

Pulled it together well though, a great response.
Luiz did a greatr job of re.energising the team. It seemed like he really inspired the team to fight for it. A definite future captain.

He never left, he just played wrong role whole season. Glad Ancelotti finally understood that. He can be massive help in UCL.

EDIT: Nice to see Freiburg fan here ;)
