Match facts

Barcelona

  • Barça are in the quarter-finals for a record tenth straight season. Their record in the last eight of the European Cupoverall is W14 L4, with two of those defeats coming in the last three seasons, both against Club Atlético de Madrid.
  • In dispatching Paris 6-1 in their round of 16 second leg, Barcelona became the first side in UEFA ChampionsLeague history to qualify for the next round by overhauling a first-leg deficit of four goals. Deportivo La Coruñapreviously held the record for the biggest first-leg arrears overcome in the UEFA Champions League era, recoveringfrom a 4-1 loss to AC Milan with a 4-0 home win in the 2003/04 quarter-finals.
  • Barcelona's 6-1 triumph over Paris was their 15th consecutive UEFA Champions League home victory – one behind Bayern München.
  • Barcelona's record in two-legged ties against Italian clubs is W8 L3.

Juventus

  • This is Juve's 17th European Cup quarter-final – their record reads W11 L5. It is their tenth quarter-final in the UEFA Champions League but just their third in their last seven participations.
  • Juventus have won all four away fixtures in this season's competition, most recently the 2-0 success at FC Porto inthe round of 16 first leg. They have kept three clean sheets on their travels, conceding only one goal and scoring ten,and equalled their biggest UEFA Champions League away victory on matchday two with a 4-0 triumph at GNK Dinamo Zagreb.
  • Juventus have already reigned in Spain this season, beating Sevilla FC 3-1 on matchday five. They drew the homegame 0-0.
  • Dani Alves played for Barcelona from 2008–16, helping the Catalans win the UEFA Champions League three times:in 2009, when he was suspended for the final, 2011 and 2015, at the expense of Juventus. He landed 23 trophies with the Blaugrana, making 391 appearances.

Predictions

FC Barcelona have a sizeable first-leg deficit to overturn for the second round running, with Juventus travelling to the Camp Nou leading 3-0 after a dominant home display.

This is football and anything can happen, especially after Barcelona destroyed PSG 6-1, but Juventus are on fire at the moment.

Expect Barcelona to win, but it won't be enough to go through.

As I said before, we Barca fans continue to support Barca whether they win or lose, compared to other fans who boo their world-class goalie out of their team and watch him cry on TV. Barca is a legendary team and with this much fame you attract a lot of haterz. Our team has the best strikers in the world and continues to break records and frustrate opponent teams and fans. I enjoy those angry frustrated fanboys who keep repeating the same ref-comment over and over, hoping it would change something, but it doesn't.

Mate, its alright to get frustrated but don't let it get to you. We don't need to degrade other teams esp RM. They have a world class team as we do. What other teams do to their players is up-to them. I just hope our boys pull out a great performance today and win the game to qualify for the semi-final.

someone explain, why would barca play 4 3 3 in this match caliber? this game will be like a final to them, they will certainly play 3 4 3 diamond. even with that, i think juve will win. 2 1 for them.

Aleix Vidal's absence is felt every single game. Hope Barcelona will put up a good fight and not lose this round as well. Defenders solid, MSN inform, midfielder scatters around to pick up any opportunities, miracle badly needed. Visca Barca!
