Really harsh to those Saints : wonderful team, terrific energy and pace, they were also unlucky to go 2-0 down when they have completely outplayed United's midfield. Poor decision from the linesman to deny Manolo's first goal. In the end, fantastic from both sides. Good luck in the future for the Saints.

MU did it wrong in transfer window. They should pay nothing for Pogba instead of made him the most expensive player and made Ibra the most expensive player instead of get him for free. Ibra deserves it. It's obvious who is "media's king" and who is "the real king".

We were really really lucky.. I think if Gabbiadini had played the entire match, the result could have been different. He was so clinical and reflexive. Those last two chances would've been converted by him in his current form.

Actually now its EFL Cup because they didn't get a sponsor this season. Used to be called a lot of names, depending on the sponsor. 1982 till 86 it used to be called Milk Cup. From 93 till 98 it was Coca Cola Cup. 04-2012 it was Carling Cup. etc. next season it will be called Carabao Cup. In general it's called League Cup.

acapbotak, pretty sure the lesson to be learned is not to talk smack about a cup, because it takes some merit, synergy and will to make it happen. Talking smack is good up until the cup is lifted by the winner, at that point just keep calm and move on if you didn't win, theres always a chance your team might lift it next time.
