As long as they call the real football "soccer", they will never be a powerhouse to reckon with. But I'm pretty sure they will win the superbowl and claim themselves as the best handegg-nation in the world.
Howard should have easily been able to save that Own Goal. What happened to moving your feet? Goals always want to make dramatic dives whereas if he took two steps backwards hecould have stayed upright and saved that. USA continue to embarass themselves, on a global scale. lol womp womp
Big Ups Alvin Jones with that lazer.

Is it me or does anyone else get the impression that the US team took their qualification for given? To me it seems like they underestimated their opponents, went into auto-pilot mode and figured they could just take control in the 2nd part of the journey...
I'm sorry for you, honestly. Outside the world of football USA is such a big country there's always something special about their participation, whether you love their team or hate it. It is a loss for everyone that USA is not joining the party. But If I am to give my opinion, this could be some kind of reset button. To start a rebuild with younger players and a new strategy. You have everything you need to be successful in the future.
If that doesn't ease the pain see it like this, you are not alone. The two largest countries in the world, China and India, aren't going to the party neither. ;)

It is like electing a clown to become a US President.
