Yes, Pulisic is Croatian. He has a Croatian grandfather on his father's side. His grandfather, when he immigrated to the United States, Americanized the last name.

When Pulisic was in the US Youth teams, his name was pronounced the traditional way. But Pulisic came out and asked that his name be pronounced "Pu-LI-sick", not "Puli-sich". Here's an article on it.

TL;DR The announcers are pronouncing it the way Christian Pulisic and his family want it to be pronounced.

Not the worst (I dislike the Russian ones), but not particularly good. We're getting past the "It's IN THE NET!" commentators though...

Absolutely agree. They always tell you what you already see. They don't comment, they describe. Which is unneccessary when you already have the picture. Great game by Pulisic though.

Yeah, thats so annoying. He's not puli-sick, he's Pulisic, as Modric, Rakitic, Mandzukic, Perisic, Petric, Olic, etc. etc. No idea why they have to pronounce his name that way.
