Pep Guardiola has been a manager of great clubs, but he has not proven himself to be a great manager yet. If he wants to prove how good a coach he is, then he should challenge himself by managing Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Watford or Everton. See how many trophies he can win on their respective budgets.

when did Mourinho ever manage these smaller teams and how many trophies has he won ?.. the only trophy which he won and wasnt expected to win was the CL with Porto, and even they had a very good budget and a great group of players

there is no warranty of superb class match when mou is in one of the benches... remember his winning formula: all behind the ball, resist and run fast when we have a chance...

Pep Guardiola has never had to build up a team from scratch without much money to recruit ready made stars. He joined Barcelona, Bayern Munich & Man City which all had expensively assembled players in their respective squads. He even had more financial resources to further strengthen these clubs after he joined them. My grandfather would have won trophies at all 3 of these clubs with the same resources that Pep enjoyed & continues to enjoy at City.

Eventho there is a point there, you gotta admit, Pep had his own well-known gameplay, for example

- He made Barcy more effective in tiki taka (using 3 players called Pep's triangle, there also 6 sec rule) eventho Rijkaard already planted the tiki taka (Rijkaard's well known is Rijkaard's turn over)
- Obviously changed Munich's gameplay. Heynckes's counter point to Pep's tiki taka
- No matter how expensively and well assembled players in Manuel "The Civil Genius" Pallegrini's period, Pep gonna use his own style

Thats the point you should more consider into

Beautiful gesture of unselfishness from Sterling in the last goal. He could have tried to score it himself to cap his performance. I think he might regain City's fans faithful this year.

Awful defending from the centerbacks, their crucial positioning mistakes cost them the game.

So we all agree now that If a big team struggle against midtable teams it has nothing to do with midtable strenght, but clearly underachieving, does it look clearer pr should we wait for the next trashing as Now PL clearly has consistent teams...

Aguero has been in premier league since 2011. Zlatan can get in line. Best goals to game ratio. Aguero is God of PL.
