I don't see how Atletico's "football" this is any different from Chelsea's anti-football when they won the Champions League.

Sad thing is people will blame Guardiola for this loss yet Lewandowski had so many chances to score and Muller missed a penalty. Who is really to blame here?

GGG 10 years ago

So many people butthurt because Atletico beat their teams

Love the way people try to find excuses for their team loses. If it is against:
- Barça 'Uefalona, referees help!1!1!!oneelevenone11!
- Real 'Ronaldo - Penaldo, diver, easy draws!!!!'
- Atletico 'Rough playing, 100% luck, fucking cants!1!!1!1one1!'
- Manchester City and PSG 'Quatar, petro dolars!!'
- Chelsea 'Russian money!'

Bayern lost. Period. They fought well but Atletico tactic was just better. Move on.
If you lose, you are weaker. Thats all. Stop being childish for once. Now stop crying.

I'd say that Oblak's been the finest keeper in the world this season.

but it's 2-2 on aggregate. How did Atlentico win?

Oso 10 years ago

Atletico has an away goal, bayern hasnt so atletico advance.

Aldo 10 years ago

Atletico scored at Allianz Arena hence they got 1 away goal, which is the tie decider. Whoever scored more away goals in a draw go through.

Shakhtar 10 years ago

What if Bayern scored an away goal and Atletico scored one too that makes 1-1 on agg. so who advances?

Extra time then penalty.

As a neutral, this was one heck of a nail-bitting roller coaster. Plenty of chances for Bayern, 2 missed penalties. Just when you think Bayern are never gonna score two more goals, they leave themselves 15 min to score a winner. I cannot say I'd like Barca to play like Atleti but they use the tactics that will allow them the best chance to win. Fair enough. Sometimes their opponents take their chances and they lose, sometimes they don't and Atleti punishes them. Was the same in the ties vs. Barca this year.

peter 10 years ago

what one has found is that atletico is now the next big club, just you watch them

peter 10 years ago

as atletico progress, barc and real mad will slowly spiral down, leaving atletico as the big 1

Bayern Munich was unlucky to say the least. The referee got the major decisions in this match wrong.

Simeone 10 years ago

Short memory? In the two matches vs juventus referee's decisions were not against Bayern. I don't mean they didn't deserve to win, but I don't think they can complain about referees in this CL.

Pepe 10 years ago

Simeone is the only manager that plays Torres, yet wins games :-)

Atletico played with passion, dont waste your time and enjoy the victory.

Defensive or parking the bus was also a football tactics, based on the attacking players condition, injured etc. This tactic maybe bored for some fans but for me it is a brilliant job done by the team beside an oppurtunity for the counter attacks!!! The main target is TO WIN THE GAME when you have an advance!!!

Bayern doesnt deserve to be in the final, simple as that. Blame Muller for the shit penalty kick, or praise Oblak for being a brick wall.

Actually, they do. They played a beautiful football. The players were just unlucky. I understand that you don't like them because you're a fan of their biggest rival, but both Borussia and Bayern play better (more fun) football than Atletico.

JP 10 years ago

If you have 2 games and you don't win you need more than just being lucky, playing beautiful outside the box works for nothing if you can't score, football is about making 1 more goal than the other, some people like to make it beautiful, some just wanna make 1 goal more than the other, beautiful was not enough here.

@husidr all rivarly aside, a win is a win, bayern and athletico are both great teams

Lucas 10 years ago

The hypocrisy of certain teams is unreal. Pep is the master at facking injuries to get fouls or players sent out and wasting time. His time at Barcelona and even sometimes at Bayenr speak for itself. It's just money back in my opinion.

Master Manager 10 years ago

For many neutral fans, this is a really deserved for atletico...and the fans outside there cant blame them for their defensive play or whatever they mentioning(boring game)...This is because their only aim is to qualify for final and they can do whatever to achieve that.....Somemore...atletico also didnt have a better squad depth than bayern for their attacking options....bcoz they are not buying talents and they a producing it...most os the best strikers in our era is from atletico(mind it).

Guys ... can u imagine the horror and possibility of Leicester vs Bayern next season?

What a disgrace to the EPL .. i feel ashamed as an English for Leicester to represent an English team in the Champions League.

Inter 10 years ago

Leicester will be better than shittyy manure who didn't even make the round of 16 ahead of psv and Wolfsburg LOL

Charles Raines 10 years ago

Man U can still qualify for the champions league, in the finals of the FA cup and will be back with a bang next season!

But meanwhile .. Milan is lying 7th in the table in Serie A LOLOLOLOL

The villans this year in EPL, Man U and Tottenham. Both have done nothing great in Europe but act like they played their best football ever. Hated Man U big time, and was happy when Bayern would kick them out of the Champions League, but this new team is garbage that only people who are supporting them are their stupid ignorant fans who watch the game so ONLY their team can win not for the love of the game. LECIESTER THE BEST FORGET THE REST

I would say Muller and Lowandoski let the team down.
Thankfully, Torres's penalty-miss didn't affect the win.
