This Northern Ireland team reminds me of the workmanlike Irish sides of the World Cups of 1982 & 1986 who caused upsets against Spain, Austria, Yugoslavia etc.

These teams are only in the competition because the number of finalists has been increased from 16 to 24. No matter who is selected for these squads, most of the players are second-division caliber only. Sure, it will make some people from Belfast and Ljubljana happy, but it's a bad joke in terms of quality.

Northern Ireland deserved the win we were sh*t. I don't understand our national coach he keeps playing ancient players, even if he includes some new players they are not young and they are shit. There are couple of players in our u21 team that are way better than the ones in our first team. The one players that needs to retire asap is Cesar slow and no agility Washington got past him like he is a light post. Where is Maroh not even a call up and he is the best Slovenian center back !. Anyway kudos to N-I it was great to see some many spectators on a friendly.
