Arsenal drew Barça and i really want City to be next, except Spurs who have matured quickly in a short lapse of time and Chelsea dangerous and used to Europe even when they arent in great form, other teams wont get anuwhere this season.

Vila Real is a great team. All the big teams in spain hate facing them.

Everybody sounds surprised, i don't understand why. Villarreal vs Napoli was 50/50 chance for each i think. Anyways congrats to Villarreal!

Glad this happened. Now, Napoli can focus more and hopefully win the scudetto.

I can see Villarreal getting knocked out in round 16 hopefully I'm wrong eliminating Napoli is such a waste.

Spanish football, all 4 teams in EL pass, and it seems that the 3 at CL will pass...

Ok I'm a fervent supporter of La Liga's superiority but... Man, how the heck did this happen?! Congrats Villarreal, Napoli was a huge favourite of mine for this season's Europa League.

i didn't have many hopes in Fiorentina, but Napoli could have comfortably gone past Villareal. the Azzurri completely dominated, but the spaniards have the technical background to bite you at any chance, and they did, even if with a fluky goal. bad day for the coefficient.

I watched the Fiorentina game, didn't play badly. Serie A is screwed right now. We have nothing going for us. Best case scenario Juve get past Bayern. I'm being realistic here, I can't see it.

this season is gone, unless Lazio goes in beast mode. perhaps considering how they're doing in the league they might decide to play everything on the EL and save their season.

I get what your saying and I agree, but depth and quality wise, their midfield is a rotation between Biglia, Cataldi, savic, and Parolo. Matri is average, Klose is Klose but old, and an average defense. Candreva, Anderson, and Kieta can't carry the team.
I'll be 100% behind Juve hoping for a miracle in Munich not that it will do much to the coefficnat now though.

Many things were not on Italians side this year, Juve should have never ended second of their group, Roma got unlucky to draw Madrid and some refree calls went against Italian teams, it may leave a little taste of frustration. With that being said, Napoli have only themselves to blame, they got the best start of the game scoring early from a long range shot against an organized defense then did not benefit from the minutes just after the goal when Villareal looked confused, They should have killed the game the moment they had the chance to but they let Villareal get back their confidence and organization by being a little sufficient, anyway Italians could feel unlucky this year, they had the weapons to do better...

Not a good year this year yeah...

Now only Lazio who carried Seria-A banner in European League, with 4 La Liga's team and 3 EPL's team we surely cannot catch up their coefficient this year....

But its luckily Lazio did just what you said....they went beast mode and focus more in here rather than in A which they not really good right now. The prize of EL's champion is going to champions league so IMO it's a prize worth to try for Lazio

wow classic example of you need a secure 2nd goal or the opposition get 1 away goal and you are out.

So Napoli rape everyone in their group, decide Eruopa league isn't important anymore. Fiorentina handed a tough draw and Spurs go through righty so. Lazio the worst of the three from Serie A go thorough to represent our league.
Meanwhile untied, Liverpool, and Spurs are through. Roma and Juve most likely getting knocked out. So much for this being the season serie a caught up to England's coefficient.

We shall see when Higuain and Insigne start the game ? Give respect to Villareal instead of acting like Napoli didnt score in purpose, yellow submarines are solid this year.

^ did you watch the match? Napoli completely outplayed Villareal even if the mid with Valdifiori and Lopez didn't really cut it. then Pina attempted a cross and voilà, came out a goal. this is football, not always the best wins.

Villareal defends too deep so it was actually normal that Napoli would get the ball, i dont know from your perspective but from mine i was feeling comfortable looking to Villareal defending, i knew Napoli would not bag goals Higuain or not. Hamsik goal was unstoppable.

they had many great chances, Higuain wasted a few, one was totally unforgivable. this is the only thing i feel to criticize about Napoli, they're awesome because they create loads, but they end wasting too many chances. too many. Napoli dominated also the 1st leg, doesn't matter how the opponent defends, they would have the ball anyway. Villareal couldn't get past their defensive 3rd. it was a bit like the 1st half of Juve-Bayern. surely now i'll support Lazio and Spanish teams, the sooner English teams go out, the better.
