u lot are not serious. the goal was not even remotely a casillas fault... he actually even made a superb first save and was just unlucky to deflect the rebound into his own net.
I still believe he's still a pretty great gk. maybe not on the same level as manuel neuer, de gea, oblak, curtois but i would still pick him anytime over mignolet :)

And this is why you cannot compare Casillas to Buffon. Cassilas had a couple of good years, but he's far from having the consistent excellence that Gigi has had for almost 20 years.

Borussia Dortmund are a selling club. The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus will soon have to be sold to make ends meet.

Shambolic refereeing.. a clear offside on the goal.. someone hand the linesman a pair of glasses

The result of this draw says a little bit about why UCL group stage drop out should not be in the EPL. They don't have the motivation.. I can't say if it's the team, the individual players or an economic priority. But they just don't seem to arrive with much energy.

Thinking back of the Uefa Cup, I would much prefer that structure. Fewer teams, more suspension for every knock-out game and not this "losers comfort zone" for the knock-out stage.

2010: At Madrid: UCL "drop out"
2011: Porto: True contestant
2012: At Madrid: True contestant
2013: Chelsea: UCL "drop out"
2014: Sevilla: True contestant
2015: Sevilla: True contestant

So only 2/6 times have an actual "Champions" League contestant gone all the way. Isn't that odd if all the clubs in EPL are ranked so low?

Just because they fail to qualify CL doesn't mean they're a loser.

Oh come on, PushHarder, it's to illustrate a point, namely that they don't compete on their potential level.

The year Porto won they didn't go to the champions league group stage, they started in the Europa League. Atleast do your research right man

Thanks AsdrubalGato for the correction. And now I've fixed "losers" to "drop outs". Do you want more corrections or you wanna just agree that the seeding of the UCL teams is far too gracious because they don't try hard enough to compete, and history proves this?

If anything it was offside. The reflexes were brilliant. To push it over line like this is just unlucky. Haters gonna hate.

agreed, any Champions League team GK is better than Mignolet!

this is why ?.. lololololol.. Casillas was one of the 3 best in the world from 2002 to 2012.. and and for 5 years at least he was the best keeper in the world.. so stup writing such nonsense.. Buffon had bad seasons a few years ago but you were quite then, huh ?.. also to write this after this goal is ridiculous.. it was not even remotely his fault.. and on top of that was offside

Okay. Spain must drop Casillas. He's a legend but he just needs to accept that his time with La Roja is up.

@hafidzawang Rico is getting pretty good. And Asenjo is solid but benched. Thing is Casillas makes mistake after mistake ever since Euro 2012. We all saw what happened to him at the 2014 World Cup. I have a feeling if Spain play him, they will fail at Euro 2016.
