Canada is too small of a country and the climate isn't suitable but we will definitely improve in the future. Football is huge here and we have some good development here.

They played in Vancouver, they said the game was sold-out/biggest attendance for any Canadian national team game 'ever'. Pretty impressive :)

These highlights make us look terrible... canada was competitive in this match up until the first goal. Hoilett and Larin had great chances to open the scoring. No doubt Mexico is the class of CONCACAF though.

Growing up in Canada it's become more promising to see the way talent is brought up. There's a bigger emphasis on technical skill rather than physical attributes. We're not there quite yet, but with time we will become a much better country competing on the international stage!!

Don't blame population, they're are smaller countries doing way better than Canada. The problem is Canada isn't interested in the sport. They clearly invest everything into hockey and other winter sports and the sad thing is most of Canada's best hockey players don't even play for Canadian teams. Also only a hand full of players play outside of the MLS and out of that hand full only one plays in a decent league. Good development starts with the level of competition.

good attitude ... however.. your facts don't work as excuse. Canadian population is 40 Millions. Holland- 16 , Norway -5 , Belgium -11 , Sweden 10, Denmark - 5 , Ireland - 5.... weather in all those countries is the same or worse than Canada... those are pretty solid teams that can anytime defeat the champions.

In time I think they will. They came-out strong the first 8-10 minutes , and had a few chances! Mexico was the better team and buried (most) of their chances. Great to see a sold-out crowd in Canada!
