@Abbeh, Wendell committed several bad fouls in the 1st half, he had to get a red, he didn't. fans were whistling him because of that. it just happened to be a black player, if it was a white one it would have happened the same. Lazio ultras are right-wings, we know that, but it's not fair to point the finger and cry for racism automatically every time they happen to whistle someone who happens to be black. it was just a drama created by the German commentator, you know when something doesn't go their way they get particularly whiny and dramatic.

This is the result of the dirty job made by Platini and a shameful press. Yesterday I was at the "Stadio Olimpico" and I personally whistled to German players who tried to lost time yet in the first half, and played roughly all the match. I didn't heard any whistle to any coloured man. It would be so stupid as we've got Onazi and Keita and many others. in the team. Try to think with your own brain and don't judge badly nobody if you don't personally assist to a racism event. Come and watch a match between us, than make an idea of it.

To bad 1 of this Teams wont qualify and than you see Teams like BATE Borisov, FK Partizan, FC Astana, APOEL Nicosia get it to group stage and play boring football and tomorrow there some stupid fixtures too :/

Difference is that the four aforementioned teams qualified through the Champions route, while Lazio (3rd in Serie A) and Bayer Leverkusen (4th in Bundesliga) qualify via the League route.

This is a great tie, both teams would fare well in the group stage.

How successfully Keita is able to hold up in the ball and run at leverkusen when he can in the second leg, will determine Lazio's fate. Klose is injured and also is Djordjevic, so a lot rides on his shoulders. Overall, it wasn't the greatest of games and maybe Lazio were a bit fortune given the chances created by Leverkusen. But its very important that lazio make it into the group phase.

I don't get the Lazio fans.. they were racist towards Tah & Wendell but went mental when Keita scored. Where's the logic?

What does being racist even mean today, not liking someone? Let them cheer whoever they want. They were celebrating because Lazio scored, what were they supposed to do?

@Pinto You telling me it's ok to chant racist stuff against two innocent black footballers and yet celebrate when another one scores for you.. it's makes sense because i never knew your racism could disappear within 1h

@shpalman I get the thing about the right-wing fan base.. it's 2015 kinda childish to do thinks like that but lets see the return leg Bayer won't have to deal with Lazio fans racist abuse there at least.

zio porco! take your right wing utter rubbish agenda and shove it up where the sun doesn't shine. there was no racism, no leverkusen player or coach complained about anything, and you're just hear to kill time. please stick to bandwagoning your manchester united from sweden and we'll stick to our league.

@Abbeh, perhaps you didn't get what i wrote. it was not racism. again, the fact of them being right-wings doesn't mean that they have to be labeled "racist" when they whistle a player who happens to be black. and it seems like you didn't get Pino's post as well.

@shplman The racist chants was so highly the referee almost cancelled the match but it's pointless argument.

The logic is that your judgement is influenced by the press. I'm a SS LAZIO fan and the press use to depict us as we're not. Then stupid are everywhere end also between us, of course. What should we Roman say about the "respectful" Feyenoord fans who destroyed our magnificent city? Nobody talks anymore about that event.

@Abbeh, the ref never did anything. where did you read that? because no one reported such fact. UEFA spokesman clarified that there was no abuse. the Bild are the only ones beating this dead horse and i guess you must be one of their employees, because i don't really understand your need to go around spreading bullsh*t about facts that never happened. even Klose remarked several times that there is nothing true about this story. what's pointless in this is your stubbornness in trying to push this fabricated load of horsesh*t. there were NO racist chants. period.

1-0 is not sufficient. many mistakes during the game, Lazio gave many balls away, Bayer's players in the 1st half played dirty and tried to lose time like there was no tomorrow already. Lazio is still in pre-season mode, they need to get more focused. overall the game had its great moments, Lazio could and should have killed it in the final minutes with a 2nd goal. 2nd leg will be not easy, at all.
