well, let me be realistic and put it this way, Russia played a good game of football, created lots of chances and could have scored at least two more goals BUT this was a far from a top class performance, so when we'll meet the likes of Portugal or Germany, we're likely to get trashed.

As I've said in the answer I gave above, Russia must significantly improve their game if they wanna do well against the high profiled teams.
However, the Zenit new stadium is simply jaw-dropping! At least on the same level of Allianz Arena in Germany, or any other well known and famous stadium! And from what I've seen so far, Luzhniki in Moscow is even more impressive. So, I'm expecting to see more CL finals taking place in these two stadiums in a near future! I know that next year, the CL final will be in Kiev, at the Olympic Stadium. But given that most of the other football venues in Western Europe had been hosts of the CL finals multiple times, it's only fair to give the chances to these awesome Russian stadiums!
Greetings from Macedonia, to all Russian people.

True, but still, better start the tournament with a win to build up confidence. The good news is that from what I heard, Germany doesn't have their best player so maybe there could be a point to make there with a bit of luck. Anyway, all the best mate. ;)

Yes my man! You've hit the nail right on the head! If Russia wants to do good against the top teams from Europe & South America, first of all, they MUST be more effective with the chances they create, and second, they must improve their game significantly!
Otherwise, if they face a team like Germany, ,Italy, England, or Agrentina, Chile...they'll be destroyed!

England, Chile are you serious right now? England couldn't even beat the most poorest russian squad ever in a euro.
