Unlucky England! You gotta score goals, and that's where you couldn't produce. It's the best attempt since 1990. So something to be proud of!! Sorry to leave it on a back-handed note, but stop with the "It's coming home". It's embarrassing. English fans need to fix the way they're perceived by the rest of the world. Obviously there're decent fans, but fu*k.. to the classless yobs - which are in abundance; read a book or something and expand you're mind.

An advantage to England. They beat Sweden in 90 minutes while Croatia has to go thru pen kicks again. Tired legs. May the best team win in the semi-final. England has young and energetic players. Croatia has Modric and Rakitic. A proven highly technical players. All the best.

Im a swede, Been surprised this whole tournament... we did great defensively, 2 goals in the back on 4 matches... the comes England, we got totally outplayed and had literally nothing... Im proud swede, we did well. Congrats England..

No one expected Sweden to even qualify in the groups, Germany and Mexico... Then even beating Switzerland

Entertaining game. England were positive throughout, and after taking the lead started to carve open chance after chance. As with Tunisia, Sterling could have had a couple before half time, and England remained fluid and controlled most of the match. Well done to Sweden for being tough to break down, and good luck to their next generation.

Boring game. However, England played OK today unlike the last match with Colombia. Sweden played bad. Not much pressing for ball and England just keep the ball and keep attacking. If Sweden played high pressing, England will have a hard time. Lady luck is on England side for this WC with the easy drawing. If England keep playing by dominating the game like this game, they got a chance to go through to the final. Good Luck, but we'll see how they perform in semi first.

Brazil did not deserve it, period.. Belgium was the first world class team they faced and they went home right away.. dont worry, the semi finals will be amazing games France-Belgium and Croatia-England

@Iker89 , Brazil actually deserved it. They outplayed Belgium by far in the second half and if it weren't for the finishing, they would be in the semis. Belgium looked really like a bunch of kids in that second half. And Brazil have faced tougher teams than Belgium in this tournament so far so I really don't know what you are talking about.. Tunisia, Panama and Japan tough? Don't mention England because they played with their second team and they were more than happy to take 2nd place in that group.

@tratbag, Brazil actually didnt deserve it, the first half they hardly created chances apart from that lucky post, in the second they were better but that was to be expected since they were 2-0 down.. if you cant take your chances you cant win a football match.. and Belgium would up their game even if the score was 2-2, make no mistake.. so Belgium deserved it.. as for Brazil's oponents they only faced Costa Rica, which they only won at the end, Switzerland they looked lost and could only draw, and Serbia another scrappy win, very unconvincing, the first half with Mexico as well.. they were not good enough at this World Cup

@Iker89 Of course Belgium deserved the win, who said they didn't? My point is that there was so much difference between Brasil-Belgium and England-Sweden that it looks like Brasil could have beaten England with their hands tied behind their back. Come on : Sweden could hardly connect four passes in a row and England were only able to get 2 shots on target !

@DevilsAvacado I don't know where you see any hate in my post, but maybe your feelings are too easily hurt. I'm only saying this game was boring and low quality, especially compared to Belgium vs Brasil, which was absolutely world class and made England vs Sweden look like Football League Two. But hey, that's how the competition is designed.

I though I heard the grumbling sound of some fans saying England would be eliminated in the group stage, then got destroyed by Colombia, and then got outplayed by Sweden, and now they are going to get crushed by Croatia/Russia lol. And we might have heard the same thing if they managed to reach the final (France/Belgium will dismantle England or something like that haha). The funny thing is they kept advancing ;)

Get real guys, England had solid performance, not great, but solid. They slowly advanced with their will-to-fight, togetherness and so on. These qualities are sorely lacking in previous England team. And that what makes them successful in this WC so far.

On the other hand, Sterling has a game to forget yet again. I hope he will improve in the semi-final.
