Congratulations to France, Uruguay did not deserve anything from this match. Muslera made a huge mistake but Uruguay was just terrible in general.

France is very physical and they constantly frustrated Suarez and shut Uruguay down. They had only 1 decent chance the whole game.

Shame about Mbappe diving but he is young give him time. I just hope he does not grow up to be an asshole. Certainly the most exciting and promising under 21 talent in the world.

There was one time he went down and he waved it off saying it wasn't. Got a little more credibility back for that. Problem is when you're fast and nimble you do go down easily, but he does need to stay on his feet.

Uraguay really missed their star player, aka Cavani, big time. But they fought hard for it, it is just France has better midfielders to control and kill the game when needed.

Next up is the huge match between Brazil and Belgium. A highly anticipated one.

Solid performance from France, without ever being exciting like their last game against Argentina. That was always to be expected tho, given how Uruguay play. In the end Uruguay were disappointing, they couldn't really make a host of decent chances let alone put any of them away.
