If the Mexican forwards improve their decision making and finishing up front they can be a serious underdog in this tournament. Could have easily been 4-0 to Mexico. Very sloppy from Germany.

Kimmich should have been taken off at the end of the first half. He couldnt get his timing right for the cross and when he did, it was always off. Damn, thats why you need Sane and it kills me to see a first European defeat in this WC campaign.

People saying Germany lost because of the omission of Sané are absolutely clueless. lol. It's clear these people didn't watch the matches Sané did play with Germany; he's been dreadful and his style doesn't suit the way the German team play. Mexico were simply better than Germany in every aspect, could have even been 3 or 4 if their final passes were better.

The past season Sane was one of the PL best players. The amount of times I saw Draxler on the left attempt to take a man on and then stop and play back a bit for someone to cross the ball in to practically no target man. So many times Germany were forced to cross when it really wasn't their top choice. Sane would have ran at defenders and got more deadly crosses in or at least put pressure on the defence. Either way, Sane may not have been the key factor since Mexico overall were just fantastic and played beautiful free football.
