If France beat Denmark 2-1 and Australia beat Peru 1-0 in the final game, who goes through in second place?

Just wnna say if the VAR decision was against Aus we would be raging. On the balance of play, we deserved a draw but not through VAR. Needs to be Introduced only to see if a ball has crossed the line or not. (Lampards ghost goal). This is the penalty World Cup.

We miss Tim Cahill! I'm not sure when Socceroos would find a new deadly striker after Viduka and Cahill

With the Lord, this would be 5-1 at least

I'm sorry, but that is not a penalty. Not intentional, it has hit his hand post a header less than a meter away and clearly not denying a goal scoring opportunity. Horrendous review and decision by the referee.

Agreed, easy goal for Australia. I read that the amount of penalties have doubled since last World Cup, the average is usually 22%, but at this world Cup it has been about 47% of all matches till now...

Stop fucking crying we all wanted this system because on so many occasions refs didn't blow the whistle when needed. Now they can't cheat everything is 100% fair...

100% fair, what an argument. Stop swearing on here, you sound like a melodramatic.

Who is crying? I'm not Danish. I'm a FOOTBALL fan, and I like to see fair and correct decisions. I'm a fan of VAR, but in this case, it is a mistake by the referee.

How long have you watched football ? You have to know that hand hit inside of the box is surely a penalty, no matter he is intentional or not. If he uses hand to deny a goal scoring opportunity, it will be penalty + red card. If he unintentionally hits the ball inside of the box, it will be a penalty no matter what ! NO ARGUMENT here

Which direction was the ball heading. Inasmuch as it was not intentional, the hand being in the way makes it a handball. The header was going towards goal.

Wow this group is going to be chaotic now. France going first no doubt about that but the fight for second place is interesting now!

The Danes have been underwhelming, needless to say top of group, I'm sure they'll pick it up. Credit to Australia they played a lot better, Leckie was everywhere best on field imo

Yup, expected more from the Danes. But maybe this is their level, same thing was against Peru (only there they managed to not concede somehow). The Australians totally deserved that point.

Good pace on the game. Australia a bit better but the result is pretty fair.
