El Shenawi showed pure class! I desperately wanted him to keep a clean sheet. Sorry he and his team conceded at the end.

Salah didn't play, smartypants. He's still injured after that dirty trick by Ramos.

Team Performance: Egypt=Poor, Uruguay= Good

Explanation:

Egypt had 3 shots on target (Average) but not was capable to score (downgrade to Poor)
Uruguay had 5 shots on target (Good) and scored 1 (as expected)

Man of the match: ..J. Giménez 1 shot on Target and 1 goal, great service and great header for Gimenez, and good 3 points for Uruguay.

I mainly focused on Bentancur's performance, and to be honest, he was poor in this match. Btw, Suarez became so mediocre. How many chances did he miss in one game? I just wonder if he now deserves to be at Barca.

That's why there have been rumours about Griezmann going to Barca, but now when he said he won't leave Atleti we'll see what other solution the club will find.

Man... Had Salah in my fantasy team, changed him with Griezemann. When commentators said in the 2nd half that he was not going to play I got mad and hoped for Uruguay to score. I guess you need to be careful what you wish for...

Darn it boys, so you think Park the Bus is forbidden for Egypt facing Suarez and Cavani while their ace was benched? what's wrong with you. They are not Brazil or Germany, it's a disadvantage and nothing wrong with that.

One more thing, if you think the GK doesn't deserved MOTM, you didnt't watch the match

An decent game mostly because of the second half. Thought it was more up and down with more quality in the second half. Hard on Egypt with the late goal but Uruguay deserved it with the chances they created

I don't know how anyone could vote any of the two teams as great, when they were both sooo weak and boring, potentially the most boring match on this WC, if it wasn't THAT GOAL AT THE EXTRA TIME!
Uruguay simply got lucky (not that they didn't deserve the win, but simply couldn't do it for 90 minutes) with that header, and that's it!
Anyways, if they play like this, they would be far from favorites in this group - especially if Russia repeats the game from the match against S. Arabia!

It wasn't a bad game at all especially the second half where there was some good up and down football and quality passing especially from Uruguay. It was better quality than yesterday's apart from the finishing. Hard to take for Egypt but Uruguay deserved it with all the chances they created

"potentially the most boring match on this WC"
- Only 2 games have been played and the first one finished 5-0.

I just don't know how come L. Torreira from Sampdoria wasn't playing? Maybe because he and Vecino from INter are playing on (pretty much) the same position, although I believe that Vecino could play much forward than Lucas! But anyway, we'll see what happens!

how were egypt voted great...all 11 players were piled up at the back. yes, uruguay misfired, nervous first game, but they were better, they controlled game rhythm.

Unlucky Egypt, hopefully Salah will join next games

Uruguay attack and Middlefield were disappointing today. Godin and Gimenez, an imperial job in defense. Let's hope the attack will wake up, so they can produce more entertaining matches in the future.

Very disappointed by Uruguay. Cavani was not visible at all, except the freekick, and overall the attack of Uruguay was lacking passion and it seemed like they were playing on energy saving mode. Egypt deserved the draw and got unlucky to concede. Overall really boring match

Compared to the first game yesterday which was one-sided, this was more entertaining. I don't think Russia will fair well against Uruguay and Egypt

Totally disagree about Cavani, I thought he was the best player on the pitch..the volleys, the free kick, the through ball to suarez
