Chile lost their qualification two or three games against Bolivia and Paraguay. It was impossible to draw against Brazil during the last farewell game that the Brazilian team tried to make the best impression for their fans.

Does Chile have any GK to replace Claudio Bravo? He's not playing regularly anymore for Manchester City, Ederson replaced him (which also had an immediate positive effect on keeping clean sheets). That said, Chile facing Brazil away as their last fixture was obviously going to be a difficult task...

there's no problem with Bravo to think he has to be replaced even in the national team. his situation at City is just that his abilities aren't suited for the Premier League style of play.

Vidal is such a vital player to this Chile side, if you watch the last Copa America you will see Vidal was MOTM for me, he man marked Messi so well and distributed from midfield to attack. He was an incredible player and his work rate makes Chile so much better than they are without him.

Brazil dominated the game. Took opportunity of Chile's mistakes. But to compete with greater teams, Brazil need better control and chemistry.

All Chile needed was a draw or loosing with a decent scoreline. They could be above Peru and hence will be in the playoff against NZ

Yep, If Chile lost by 3-2, for example, Chile would have gone through. Goal advantage would be the same as Peru, but with 1 more win.
