Paraguay is basically Uruguay without the offensive talent up front. They have almost always been a middling South American team, which isn't so bad if you consider that South America plays the best soccer and its qualifiers are the most brutal. Venezuela was the spoiler in the qualifiers. Peru tied with them twice to miss out on 4 extra points. And then they beat Paraguay in Asuncion.

FIFA is a joke, giving South America 4 entrants and 1 playoff chance, the same as Asia! How the hell does Asia merit the same as South America when South American historically has played the best soccer?
