As for RM, the problem is not Ronaldo. The problem is our decisiveness in front of the goal. The players have been wasting chances left and right for quite some time now and you simply cannot do that when you are trying to catch up with Barcelona. Madrid no longer has that venomous attacking style that it once had under Ancelotti. We were unstoppable. Hopefully Zidane can bring that back when Bale recovers and Benzema gets over that sex scandal. People bash Ronaldo for not being lethal in front of the goal, but NO ONE mentions Benzema. Since that sex scandal became news, Benzema has lost his composure and impact on the game.
