I remember watching Gotze sit out the CL FInal and thinking what incredibly poor luck for such and incredibly gifted player. Good thing he will be playing for Guardiola next, surely Pep will mold him into one of the best playmakers in the world. 3 years later... Honestly though what's the deal with him not even getting subbed into this game. I get that Thiago is Pep's muse, but wtf? Is there really no way for them to play together?

bob 11 years ago

that team is just too stacked.. who would you take out for Gotze? Thiago, Costa, Coman, Ribery, Robben, Muller, Lewandowski?

Well gotze doesn't compete against wingers and strikers for playing time. Thiago is his main competition for a starting spot and also Muller. I just don't see how Pep can play a diff lineup almost every game and not have Gotze feature at least some times.

If Dortmund wins on Saturday, it's only two points separating them. Suddenly, the league is open again.
