To be fair, it did not seem like he was valued very highly by Van Gaal at United. If I was one of the best midfielders in the world, just coming off of a UCL win with Madrid, and then was treated like that...I would go to another team as well. I don't blame him for leaving Manchester, and now Van Gaal looks like the one who made a mistake.
