I find it ironic that Everton captain Phil Jagielka blames the club's disastrous Premier League campaign for possibly more than 10 players leaving the club in the summer. The poor & inconsistent form of Jagielka & most of the first team players was responsible for getting Martinez the sack in the first place. In any case, the likes of Tim Howard, Leon Osman, Tony Hibbert, Steven Pienaar & Darron Gibson hardly featured for Everton, while striker Romelu Lukaku & John Stones are vastly overrated. We must grab the money & run if the big clubs come with crazy offers for the 2 overpriced first-teamers.

Howard was a flop, that's why Man U sold him.

Tim Howard is a great player and has vast fan following. I remember the game between Everton and Juventus in San Francisco. Boy-oh-boy.!!! 70% of the stadium came to watch that match only for Tim Howard!! Even though great names like Gigi Buffon, Andre Pirlo...all I could hear was roars for Tim Howard! Great player \m/

Frank De Boer is interested in a move to manage Everton according to both his agent & his brother Ronald. De Boer quit his manager’s job at Ajax as he carved a new challenge. That means there is no compensation to pay. De Boer has the pedigree to succeed at Goodison Park, after 4 successive Eredivisie titles & narrowly failing to land a 5th on the last day of this season. Any move for the Dutchman would not be easy with interest coming from Inter Milan & Valencia.

Everton won only 5 Premier League games out of 18 at Goodison Park this season, recording the club’s lowest points total at home since the introduction of 3 points for a win. Caretaker Manager David Unsworth managed a win at home at the first time of asking to make it 6 home victories in 19 matches. A small consolation, but a positive way to end the season nonetheless.

Martinez failed to see it's one thing to stop shots in practice but to command your back 4, make consistent saves and dominate the game as a keeper is another. Tim Howard was the best thing that happened to everton in their past 10 years. Martinez left a tiny black mark on his career at Everton but he will be remembered for his time pre Martinez. Always enjoyed watching him in between the posts.
