Roberto Martinez on Romelu Lukaku apologising to a female fan he hit in the warm-up. 'Maybe he’ll have to hit a woman in every game.'

Push higher up, but our player is not that flexible. We're lacking of CB with super quality. Yoshida is good but against bomb like Lukaku.... He just can't. And he lack of stamina also, especially after 60-70 minutes (Most of Asian player suffer this i think) . Targett is quite good, but he's too young. With the current squad and the competitive level on EPL which is getting harder, finish in 7 - 10 position would be satisfying enough. Kudos to everton, they deserved to win this. Not that we're playing that poor, but Everton just made us looks like average team.

Everton showing what they can really do! I was really shocked with their previous finish last season.Happy to see them performing.

I'm as much a fan of Southampton and Everton as the next guy and I have to say I'm impressed with how Barkley is stepping up to the plate. The saints didn't really look themselves today but everyone has their bad days, so unfortunate that today had to be one of them

In three more years Lukaku would be one of the top strikers in England with the patience and grooming he is getting at Everton and from Martinez
