Brilliant game offensively but defensively both sides were very poor.Great Spot kicks from 2 Argentinians.Matthieu was unlucky, that was not a penalty IMO!And Pedro you will be missed.

I thought it was spanish supercup...must be because spanish teams dominate europe

Messi scored more free kicks this season that C. Ronaldo can in one season

CR7 CAN score more than one free kick goal in one season... he has already proven that! I think you are referring to a specific season and therefore you should have written "...than he DID etc season". It's sad seeing an attempt of making fun of something/someone fail.

We are definitely the best @TeamFCB. There is no telling who is going to win the world best player Awards. La Messa.

Wow, the amount of crucial mistakes Marc Bartra has made is just ridiculous! he is definitely not a young prodigy anymore! making so many mistakes at the back! First Bale, then Januzaj, now this!

Against Bale he was not match fit. Yes, against Januzaj, with Spanish national side and here in this match he has made some crucial mistakes.

Sorry should be no overtime...

Saci 11 years ago

1- Tha penalty against Mathieu was not a penalty.2- The goal scored by Suarez was not an offside goal by any means.3- Should be a penalty against Sevilla on the Messi's free kick.So should be an over time.

I bet $5000 Barcelona would be a middle-of-the-table team when they dont have Messi.

Barcelona have won UCL twice before Messi hits the stardom. However, Chelsea struggles to finish 4th in the league before Petro Dollars make way in.

If match ended level AET , players should rather hit free kicks than penalties...

As much as I don't want to say it, Barca's defense looked shaky. You couldn't notice it in the first half when it was all Barcelona attacks, over and over, but in the second half they were threatened by Sevilla with attacks which could have and should have been cut out. Hopefully the defense will strengthen into the back four which we knew last season. Nevertheless, fantastic game. I couldn't keep my eyes off it.

Mathieu is the type of player you need in the team to fill in when you have someone who's injured. He's not an A-class defender by any means. Also he's the worst LB ever, or his style just doesn't work with Barcelona. He Should have played Adriano instead.

Proud of my team! Sadly neither Coke's head or Rami's leg found the back of the net but we showed great spirit and it looks good for the next Champions league. Hopefully we can reach quarters
