It's quite clear now from the 2nd time James and Neymar face that James>>Neymar. One is a game changer whereas the other is a goal scorer ONLY when his team is in control of the match.

Neymar deserves the red card, his attitude stinks

Excuse me did you even watch the game? Every other Colombia challenge was a dirty tackle or overly physical knock off of the ball in order to stop Brazil's control and stop the flow of he game. Colombia were clearly playing WAY more "thuggish" tonight.

Why such hate on Neymar? Yeah he is a diver yeah he was pissed because they lost did anyone of you played at this level? Do you even know how is it 10 players 1 manager and the bench relying on you? He did a mistake he will pay for it. Move on and with the best on both teams. Thats the spirit of football.

Cuadrado is the best player on the field, but no one will give him the credit.

typical barca boy....supporting more than a club(corruption syndicate) just coz messi plays there.....

Truth 11 years ago

The referee has the authority to take disciplinary sanctions, as from the moment he enters the field of play until he leaves the field of play after the final whistle. Yellow or red cards can be shown by the referee during the half-time interval.FACT. Go read a book messi fan boy

Neymar's headbutt is nothing compared to the criminal, life-threatening assault from Killombia in WC 2014, which put him out for the rest of the tournament.

KSI 11 years ago

Typical neymar fanboy. I hope that you realize that neymar's injury was due to a challenge and not done on purpose to injure him. Neymar purposely hits the ball to Armero doesn't apologize and then headbutts Murillo. That was one of the worst qualities. So many people comparing ronaldhino to neymar but you can never expect his sportsmanship from neymar.

Fireator 11 years ago

Tottenham Hotspur, Brazil 0 32

@KSI Why would he need to apologize? It wasn't on purpose, the match ended he was simply trying to lob the ball into the goal like so many players always do after the match ended. Armero jumped in his way and was clearly looking for Neymar to get carded. I would be pissed too if I was Neymar, Murillo didn't have to go all up in his face like that. They just lost!

Bale 11 years ago

lol @Fireator so neymar just kicked the ball and the other player jump to the ball for neymar to get a red card? he must be a genius lol

Sk Singh 11 years ago

Agreed! That was not even a full power shot and blaming a striker for trying to put the ball at the back of the net.. Dafuq was that push for? Did someone die due to Neymar's shot? Lol.. Even when Col took Neymar out at WC none of the other players went beserk like Colombia did here.. We will be back Colombia!!

jchad 11 years ago

The foul on neymar during WC was during the play and the play wasn't even stopped. That was a challenge. This was as soon as the match finished. He may not have hit Murillo on purpose but the headbutt was. Carlos Bacca shouldn't have pushed him as well. Both of these were unsportsmanlike conducts. Both the red cards were fair.

Firmino is a joke, Neymar tasted what Messi faces each single game, drop deep to touch the ball, zonal and individual defense, unfotunately for Brazil there was nobody to benefi from the space created.
