You can argue that Pirlo maybe slow, but he compensate it with class+field awareness+brilliant vision. That pass was a masterpiece. And credit to morata as well, his movement was always effective. Grande Juve!!

As far as rules are concerned, whether intentional or not, if you deny a striker a goal opportunity, its a foul

I feel pity for the haters of Juventus. Juventus almost always win in every week. Almost every week too you cranky, got a headache, cold fever, itching to say dirty, adding sins.

The penalty awarded to Juventus was not a penalty. But Juve deserved to win this game cuz of the chances they have had and they came close to scoring than Monaco. Monaco played the same way as last time, defending especially, power, some skill, counter attacking and straight passing at the right moment. Juve shouldn't leave it to the last minute so as to score and Monaco need to be aware of Juve players coming to them when they deliver the final ball to Carrasco for example who is very strong. Men of the match for me is Vidal and Pirlo

Not a great performance from Juve, but a good win in a tight tactical match.

It's hard to say was it penalty, but defender tripped himself and Morata fall due to that. It was very good match for 2 defensive teams like Juventus and Monaco. Monaco had few good chances, Juve too. Juventus was a little favourite before game, and they won. I would like to see Monaco in semis but Juventus will probably be there, after few years Italian club will be in semis I believe.

After carefully reviewing the footage Morata definitely tripped himself. Hey it's only one goal Monaco can still turn this around. BTW Berbatov is really slow and lazy. When the manager brought on Berba I was like WTF NOO.

well, it's a quite hard to decide whether it's a foul or not, but for sure when you were running hard and someone push you a bit you will fall, if you are on the position (as referee) you will see that as a foul.

I dont get why so much hate towards juve.... I understand if you mean they are better than this but i dont get the hating... they clearly played better with 60 -40 possession and the other team clearly had more fouls... that should even out the shots off target and corner that you guys give so much shit about... juve deserved this and they will win again next game pretty sure... even if it goes the same way.. and no i am not a juve fan

Monaco have more shots same shot on target.. in their own turf! more possesion is essential when your at home and especially when you're facing a weak team! deserved nope(penalty undeserved but juve fans will start hating me for saying it, if its the monaco who gets the penalty they will start saying undeserved penalty).. but a win is a win i guess

Pirlo is useless, whenever he plays, Juve can't win big.

did you see his pass? who can replace him at that position ?

John 11 years ago
I saw his pass but how many times he was out of position and couldnt move fast, many players can replicate him if they walk and pass like Pirlo, lazy bastard!

The referees always seem to benefit Juventus when they're in doubt.

Buffon showed his class again. Behold, youth fetishists. Regarding the penalty: It was a clear foul but outside the box. Ref should have called Red+ Freekick rather than Yellow+Pen

You should be a very objective person to talk like that; here we are either pro or against Juve.

Let's be honest, the defender tripped himself over and the attacker was fallen due to that. So can't blame the attacker. it was a clearly penalty due to that. it was the defender's fault.

What do you expect from Juventus at this game? a defeat?

Honestly speaking. Juventus deserved to win this game because of their good awareness when they pass the ball around the park (ball possession), defending, good strength, good teamwork and logical team (they don't do the same thing all the time) the chances they create and they came close to scoring. I think they have 65% of the ball.

Monaco defended well it's just Juventus created more (good) chances and they deserves to win. about the match, doesn't matter if its interesting or not in the end who win thats what counts
