Liverpool where hopeless again. Balotelli didnt play so you cant keep blaming him. They are lucky Gerrard got them out of this. Liverpool should be having no trouble against these sort of teams. It will be a sad day when Gerrard leaves. To be honest the Liverpool board must realize they made a mistake. If they really wanted Gerrard he would of stayed. And to be fair who in Liverpools midfield is better?

it's an irony that gerrard played well in last liverpool games after he decided to not renew his contract

there is only one men better than Gerrard, for me that is Lampard...

Ani 12 years ago

No offense to Lamps but Stevie has played all his life with mostly average players....while Lampard has played with the likes of Terry, Schevchenko, Drogba, Deco, Ballack, Torres.Had Gerrard played with such players at club level, I am sure his records would have looked better than Lamps!!!

@ Ani: Gerrard played with Torres, the good Torres. Shevchenko was average at Chelsea and Deco wasn't much of a first team player and he did not stay long.

ugyn 12 years ago

but lampard had no leadership, vision and quality passing like Gerrard..England and liverpool captain.

Nobody 12 years ago

You can never compare Gerrard with Lampard neither Scholes because 3 of them played the same position but difference role.

For all you idiots saying "Noooo steven gerrard needs to stay at Liverpool, or Noooo why is BR letting Gerrard go???," etc. You know it would look really stupid on Gerrard's part if he were to basically go against his own words and not end up leaving Liverpool. What's official is official, it's an end of an era. We must cherish every appearance that Stevie G makes for Liverpool during the rest of the campaign. #Respect

More than that we are depressed to see all our leaders leave....one by one he has sold all our leaders....Reina, Agger, Suarez, Kuyt, and now Stevie

Rodgers is just nothing to LFC as compared to Stevie! it should have been Stevie telling Rodgers to leave and the other way round!

haha whenever i see gerrard's face, it reminds me of his slip against chelsea's match which threw away the premiership. Biggest laughingstock in the football world today!

I hate Liverpool but i want them to do good so Gerrard can leave his home happy :)

Forza Roma 12 years ago

Why should Steven Gerrard leave? There is no reason for a living legend that still in such form should leave their home team. Gerrard = Liverpool, guys please never let the captain walks alone in US, Rogers wake up!Just like Chelsea shouldn't let go Lampard but instead keeping them in the squad or in the coaching team, they lift the whole team spirit instead of the coach, just like Totti, Maldini, Giggs.

how the hell are we gonna replace gerrard...tough times ahead for lfc
