Stroll through? I guess you don't watch La Liga then, esp this fixture. Check the history.

You are speaking CRAP, not even in their BEST form, Tottenham, can NEVER beat this Valencia, this is the exact team that beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 in a couple minutes and the game ended 3-1. Learn that, don't underestimate La Liga teams, BPL only has competition not the quality that La Liga has.....even Granada/Celta Vigo can walk over Spurs -_-

It is obvious that the majority of EPL fans don't watch La Liga and only comment on what have now become myths. The Valencia vs Barca games have been a classic in the same way as the Atletico Madrid vs Barca matches. In fact, if you have been watching La Liga long enough you will know that these tend to be much more exciting and high scoring matches than the actual Clasicos. I am quite surprised Lodatz that you have just realized how much Barca had to work to get a result, but this same thing happened to RM the day before vs Malaga and almost every week. This is why I laugh when I hear people say La Liga is not competitive. Let me tell you that the easiest games RM have had all season were the two matches against Liverpool which they played at walking pace. Now you can think what you like!

Lol how about chelsea struggling to taake a win at Sunderland ?

The elite Bracket ? Like tottenham or Sunderland ?The best PL player of last year is still looking for his mark, only Chelsea can pretend be in he elite Zone while top 3 of Spain are puting the level where they want, buthurt Barça won lodzy ?Or the Cheezy defense of spurs is looking better, each time Spurs win a game you sudeently appears, score hunter ? cant you support them when they loose ?

nope mate, Valencia is extremely hard to beat on their good days, especially at their home. If a team will with a bit higher margin, it's either because the game was completely broken (which very rarely happened) or they went all out attack and got countered. Valencia can beat any team in EPL at home too, including Manchester United, and even Chelsea this year does not guarantee the 3 points there.

Oh tuan_jinn, that's just not true. Do you realize that Valencia have beaten Barcelona THREE times in the last 8 years (in all competitions)? Do you realize that Barcelona have beaten Valencia ELEVEN times, in that same period? How many goals? Valencia: 17. Barcelona: 41, including 3-0, 4-0, 5-1 and 6-0. I remain correct. Barcelona used to walk this fixture, back when they were one of the best teams in the world. They need a lot of work to get back there. Suarez will help, and was sorely needed.

As for Valencia beating 'any team from the PL' at home...? LOL. It was only last season that Swansea beat them 0-3 in the Mestalla. LAST SEASON. SWANSEA. Why do you guys always try to argue me with when I am clearly right? Valencia fans even gave Swansea a standing ovation!

@Jugol: Yes, I CAN think what I like, and what I think is that you're just pulling stuff out of your ass. Sorry, but what you are saying does not match reality. Go look up some results sometime.

I disagree more with the responders to Lodatz than I agree with Lodatz himself. Tottenham can NEVER beat Valencia? Utter bullshit. BPL don't have the quality La Liga has? Come on.. Really? 5 times the turnover of La Liga.. Furthermore, Chelsea stuggled to take a point against Sunderland because; firstly, they parked the bus, and secondly, BPL is more competative than La Liga. 3 vs 11 wins is not particularly competative even though that's probably among the highest amount of wins against Barca considering their other oppositions.

kamvret..

One more comment like this you will be banned!!!

how in the world can you love real madrid and hate cr7 you sound like a fucking idiot an cr has the most assist too along with goals

You are way late on your Messi analyses ( 3 years late exactly ).Here is an article posted 2years ago.\'\' While most cules are busy arguing over whether it should be Alexis or Villa in the starting eleven, a much more important change is underway: Lionel Messi is playing further and further away from the opposing team’s goal, dropping back to the center circle to distribute play from the midfield. No longer playing in the space between the opposing team’s defensive and midfield lines, as a so called “false 9”, Messi can now be considered a midfielder.

A goal-scoring midfielder, an attacking midfielder, but a midfielder nonetheless! Especially noticeable during the 1-1 draw in Mestalla, the little Argentine suffers when he doesn’t get enough touches on the ball, disappearing for long spells of the game. This lack of participation was most worrisome during the beginning of his career, when he played as a right winger. However, these concerns, which had pretty much vanished entirely, have recently started to resurface because of the enormous expectations and what he is capable of. Messi’s new positioning on the pitch raises important questions over where he is most effective.

Does he play better as a right winger, creating deadly one-twos with Alves, going on unstoppable diagonal runs when cutting inwards towards goal? Or is he better as a false 9, a goal-scoring machine unprecedented in the modern game, as Guardiola had envisioned? What will this newest reincarnation of Messi, what I call Messi 3.0, mean for the blaugranes?

Lately, the false 9 has become more of a mainstream tactic, with other teams hoping that imitation will lead to success. No longer a positional novelty, teams have started to learn how to defend against it. For example, these last few weeks against Real Sociedad, Malaga, Real Madrid, and Valencia, have shown that readjustments have been made. By staying put, the opposing team’s defenders aren’t opening up spaces for the wingers Pedro, Alexis or Iniesta. The defensive mid-field has succeeded in making sure that Messi doesn’t explode into one of his zig-zags towards goal while the defense has been able to cover the inside passing lanes. As occurred against Real Madrid during the Clasico, Messi was boxed out between the two central defenders and the two central midfielders,

Mourinho’s favored doble pivote (see photo).

The post is too long if you arent a Ronaldo fanboy in disguise, here is the reason why he couldnt play as Guardiola used to play him, Messi didnt dropped form, rivals adapted to Barça tactics and specially against the best player of the world, everybody change tactics specially for him.http://www.totalbarca.com/2013/opinion-pieces/messi-3-0/

@ tikitaka u need life bro

Just another RM Fanyboy disguised as Barca Fan...lolMr Footy, is dat you again?

@tiki_taka WTF ?? I guess you didn\'t really watch barca games years ago. Anyone that does CLEARLY realize that messi though is still the most talented player on earth, but isn\'t a game changer anymore. Do you realize ho good messi was4 years ago?? like 5x as good as he is now, and that makes me a bit sad. Whatever you were pointing out were true but the fact is he\'s been declining statistically (maybe because he\'s played further back) and even on the pitch you can REALLY see the difference if you watch the old games. Remember that Im not only talking about tactics or statistic, but if you watch current barca games you must have seen messi walking a lot,and lack of work ethic, as talented as he is now.

@Kal, that is what i have been saying. He is still as important to the team as ever. The sharpest play maker Barca has right now and if people scored the chances he gave them he would have had a load of assists. However, walking for more than 50% almost every game since 2013 and the curssed injury has nothing to do with tactics, because Barca was about everyone given all they got 2008-2012 which made Messi by far the legend he is. He was not just a winger or attacker, he was everything, relentless. I pray that he gets back to his peak. I love having my Messi dose :)

I love how what this article calls a 'new tactic' in Spain is how Barcelona were tamed by PL opposition seasons earlier. :)

Macity Spurs 11-1 Barça - Man City 4-1 Troll destroyed, thanks for comming lodatz.

@tiki: lolz wth, you can make a thread in the forum out of this

tiki, why is it that you never have any actual argument, and you always just try to insult my team? Do you have no respect? Oh, that's right, you don't, because you are a childish little fan-boy who knows nothing about actual football. Thanks for playing, indeed. You're not anywhere close to my league. :)
