WHAT. A. GAME! Costa 2 - Complete striker 0

Was really off the mark when I predicted Costa would struggle in PL.. Maybe it was his poor WC campaign. What I've seen in his first 3 games has change my opinion 180. This guy is in your face, unapologetic, ruthless clinical goal scorer. He is everything you want in a striker. Mourinho yet again does exceptional business. Costa is really proving to be a steal. His 2nd goal in this game really shows his quality. No one can rush this guy. Puts both defender and keeper on their backsides before he puts it in the net. Hands in the air, I was wrong. Costa is a badass. Mourinho is still the special one. Respect to Everton. They have hearts of Lions. On another day this would have been a draw. Great game of football.

Howard just conceded everything he saved vs Belgium. Karma.

Great game..Mcgeedy seems a great player to watch. i think Howard was protecting Coleman, costa should have not done that act.

Chelsea didn't park busses and they score 6.. what have they learnd from it?

john 12 years ago

that they play according to opposition strength...not to attack when you have to defend coz the points or winning the game is all that matters not being ignorant and attack when you have already won the game coz u might rnd up losing the game....

Ghana 12 years ago

cry bebe cry maybe we should have because we conceded 3 without parking the bus as against last season when we parked and distroyed Arsenal by 6-0. what we have learn is that your team can't stand us and your messi will never ever score against as even when we play 9 against 11.

I can't figure out why they were fighting? What's pissed off Tourette Howard?

MJQuick 12 years ago

Costa laughed in Coleman's face after he conceded an own goal. It was in reaction to Coleman constantly pulling his shirt and jostling with him off the ball earlier which lead to Costa getting a yellow card for reacting.

According to FIFA rules, there has to be 'clear day light' between the players for someone to be offside. In this age of HD television with multiple slow motion replays from different angles, we have become so accustomed to thinking someone's offside when they're centimetres ahead or only marginally in front - i.e. the upper body in front but the feet behind the defender - that we should all just step back for a moment and remember the actual rules of the game. With that in mind, the first two goals were legal.

mabe u should go get yourself a spectacles. both goals are not offside. in both cases the players were in line with the everton players so stop laughing by tickling yourself and find something useful to do

Diego Costa even has more goals than Man United lol

Blue Knight 12 years ago

Unbelievable game from Chelsea, man Costa is such a badass ! Reminds me alot of that cannibal Suarez in terms of his scoring ability & that harsh attitude. Would have been a Hatrick thou

footballfan 12 years ago

lol in terms of scoring ability no way is costa near suarez. costa might be bagging in goals but he cannot create something out of nothing which is what suarez did all year round last year. costa is a clinical finisher and has an eye for pass as well but nowhere near suarez.

HammerMe 12 years ago

dont ever let chelsea play or hold the ball in the 6 yard box or they will score alot!

karma is a bittch everton. last week you scored a offside goal vs Arsenal now you get bitchslapped in the face by conceding a offside goal . Why was roberto martinez complaining about the offside goal? He wasn't saying anything about last week's offside goal dumb hypocrite.

Chelsea's win = Everton's defence frailty (Costa's 2 goals & Ramires) + Luck (2nd goal Ivanovic was offside n Coleman's OG).Chelsea have changed to controlled n offensive from ultra-defensive and Everton have yet to realise it. Everton lost the match from the 1st minute when they had no man on Fabregas.
