said it before, gonna say it again, sturridge cannot play as lone striker he needs a partner to find space.. well played city, you showed why you won the title last season ! YNWA

With Sturridge up front alone it's easy to man mark him and take him out the game. We're a lot better with two strikers, hopefully Balotelli can deliver.

Markovic and Moreno really gelled together well. That was one of the few, if only, positive I took from this match. Well played Jovetic and Man City.

Drogba 12 years ago

Come on Rodger. It's Sturridge, not Drogba. He needs partner.Drogba was the only premier league player who can play up front without any partner and was still able to wreck every single team.Got it?

Don't forget about Lord Bendtner and King Heskey they could play upfront without needing anyone of their team mates help... :D

Ugochukwu 12 years ago

Sturridge and suarez only played 8 games together as 2 strikers up front. The rest of the game Sturridge was the lone striker. He still scored 21 goals. Get your facts straight.
