You cannot claim a player that deserve for games at only one game.Coach knows more the situation whether Buffon or Sirigu to start on the goal.

Sirigu amazing keeper!!!! I really did not expect to see Ireland play so good they could have easily beaten Italy but Sirigu rescued them.

How can people vote Italy as "top class"? Sirigu's the only reason Ireland didn't win. Ireland had by far the better chances.

just some quick considerations on italy's team:- sorry to say this but i'm happy montolivo is injured, he's horrible and parolo is at least two times better than him- sirigu should always be the starting keeper instead of buffon- cassano is a real n.10 no one (except pirlo) is nearly talented as him, my only hope is brazilian weather won't kill his physical condition

I agree! Also Giuseppe Rossi & Mario Balotelli should be the 2 main strikers.

@gino: you're forgetting my boy Verratti, he has the same talent as Cassano and Pirlo. agree on everything anyway. Montolivo after all the crap he did lately at Milan vs Seedorf, got served by KARMA. not happy for the injury, but happy he stays at home. Buffon is done, Sirigu deserves to start. if there was Buffon tonight we would take at least 2 goals. in any case, we sucked balls, and that's good ;)

i agree with the montolivo comment. i don't know how he keeps getting chosen for italy. he's pretty bad.

@Lambo: not sure about Rossi, he's a great player but he always seems to be up in the clouds when he plays for Italy. pathetic the BEin sports dudes, calling him stellar for tonight. american speakers should be banished from commenting on any football match. they are a disgrace, they are only able to continuosly say, in random order: "stellar", "tremendous", "glorious", "hero". we don't need this over-hyping crap in football.

Salvatore Sirigu needs to play in the world cup what a goal keepper he is. Buffon days are over.
