Giroud is a great facilitator. He has the most success when midfielders or wingers make runs into the box(walcott, ramsey, valbuena) for him. His strengths lie in his ability to hold the ball and his creativity, not necessarily clinical finishing(not saying he's a bad finisher, just not his best quality). I think he would play best as a support striker, or false 9, with a faster, more clinical striker up front.

Giroud and Valbuena seem to have a very good understanding of each others game. they look formidable together.

To all the french fans, I got a little reminder : Mexico : 2 - France : 0

French fans are cocky as hell.

Clapton44 12 years ago

Not really no ... you must have met the wrong people. there are way cockier fans than us. Actually french fans aren't very supportive of their team, they are very critical (that's what annoys me :).

Valbuena's crossing is every striker's dream. For me he is one of the best crossers in europe if not the world.

Another good game from les Blues despite Paraguay's miraculous tie. France has become quite an offensive team, it's good for soccer in general.

Love France's Jersey

I agree, that jersey is deadly.

Giroud is a good player, just not lone striker material. He need someone to partner him on front.

Jamil 12 years ago

Exactly!!!! Imagine Giroud and Walcott as the strikers.

France's looking good. We have some really talented players! If everyone keeps this strong mentality im sure we can go far

Santi R.-D. 12 years ago

1-1 against Paraguay ? Strong mentality ? hahahaha

T.Silva 12 years ago

@Santi: did you even watch the game ... ? because it seems that your only argument is the scoreboard of ONE friendly game...

Brazil2014 12 years ago

Do not make me laughing, as you said " you can go far" you can go nowhere with those kind of players.

@Santi R.-D. It was a friendly match, do you seriously think that they gave everything? They DON'T want to injure themselves before world cup. That would be the biggest nightmare, like Montolivo has now faced.

Chucksea 12 years ago

Chelsea 5 267

@Santi Im sure you only looked at the scoreboard of this friendly game, idiot. France has made a massive improvement for like two years now, we play much a better football that we used to, players are hungry, everyone seems committed. Watch the game before talking about it

GOONER 12 years ago

Giroud's looking good

Ed 12 years ago

Griezzman impressing the coach for world cup. Upset with a draw.. but good game anyway, as long as no one is injured.
