Fact- Mexico and Costa Rica were forced to bring their Olympic Squad to the CONEMBOL tournament. Either you people are retarded, hating or too lazy to look that information up when you are on a device that has interent access. I support mexico but im getting tired of hearing that mexico played with a "B" or "C" team. This is no A, B, or C team, its simply a young squad (U-22 to be exact) with 5 over-aged players. For my fellow supporters please stop making excuses, mexico lost and that is simply a fact now. For those of you getting all butt hurt about the fact that Chile struggled to beat an inexperienced mexican team, recognize that it would have been a much tougher game if they had played against mexico's best players. End of story.

I don't know why Mexico fans want to make it look like as if this were their weakest team ever when in reality this is almost their best team, yes it's true that they don't have Hernandez, and Marquez and yes they are young but the level of the rest of the players is not that far from the ones that played the Gold Cup or at least they are second best team that's why they were selected for the national team, isn't that so? Chile also have young players and if Mexico had their "A" team Chile would use different tactics anyway and Chile would still have a slight advantage... sh*t i write too much.

slight advantage my balls!! Dude its not the second team its the sub22 team, some players havnt even played in the mexican first division!!!! it would have been a very different game and you know it, stop saying they would have had an advantage.

people don't underestimate Chile especially you mexicans accept that you lost fair and square your team was lucky to score a goal on the only dangerous play you had besides another one towards the end of the match well it wasn't even dangerous, just a loose ball that the guy who scored happened to find after a rebound, Chile controlled the whole match stop being sore losers we didn't score more 'cause you guys were defending almost the whole time.

I remember during the world cup my dorm had a sweepstake where a team was drawn out of a hat along with a person's name. I got Chile and boy, I learned about their players and the country! Vidal is such a valuable asset! A holding midfielder and yet he gets the goals! Great player!

LOL, Chile scored both goals with corner kick, if Mexico wouldve played with the normal team it would been a different story!, with the players Mexico(normal team) got, would done better!, this Mexico u22 didnt have control over the ball, most of them play soccer, but on the bench(with their teams), but is nice for them to get experience ^^ playing Copa America!

Mexico has always made it far in Copa America, getting 3rd place in the last one. I suggest next time you look up facts before you post ignorant comments on the internet.

haha are you serious? 2-1, this was a C squad and they did okay, obviously Chile was better today, but if the whole squad was there it would be a different story, i didn't say Mexico would win, or chile would, maybe a tie, who knows, but clearly a different story.

u should go to youtube and look up copa america 2007, mexico 2 brazil 0, mexico 3 uruguay 1, mexico 6 paraguay 0, we brought our A team to that competition...dont even think we cant compete cuz we could so qualify to a world cup even if we were in conmebol

yes, since mexico is not in south america, it was only allowed to play with the U-22 team, with only 3 older reinforcements.....including marquez, thats why all the other players, guardado, vela, barrera, and giovanni couldnt play. This makes it really hard for mexico to win, some players havent even played in the first division
