Both teams played valiantly, but to go down in penaltied means 2 things. 1) your team and the opposing team are evenly matched, 2) your team needs to practice penalty kicks more. THAT's IT!! end of story, S. Korea played awesome, so did Japan!! Neither team deserved to lose, but when it comes to penalty kicks, it all comes down to nerves of steel, power and/or placement. Which Japan clearly had and S. korea (regrettably) didn't

Nice game from both teams, but the ref was a joke. The first penalty was only a block, not a tackle. The second penalty was a foul outside the box. What a joke of an official.

Shinji Kagawa, Dortmund's midfield engine, has broken his metatarsal (midfoot). Season is over for him. Too bad for him and for Borussia Dortmund

Can't believe Ki's goal performance insulting Japanese as monkey. If Japanese were monkeys, Koreans are also monkeys. So stupid

I bet his parents is the one who taught him that Japanese is monkey. Some parents just can't teach what is good and what is bad to their children. I don't hate South Korean but the insult is what makes me angry towards Ki even though I am not a Japanese. Thumbs up if you're not a racist.

That referee has no idea about what constitutes a foul in football. I know one thing and that is that the ref is never gonna get any big games after his ridiculous performance. Enjoy it in the 3rd division you dumb fool...

i feel bad for south korea, the penalties were taken by the youngsters, new to the team without the experience that the others have they just couldnt overcome the pressure, but well done to the whole team! the youngsters are good, and i think they could become big stars in europe as well
