People celebrating and cheering just because of some score line. if you really know about Footbal you would see that we played a poor game today. If Almeria were able to find the net in Camp Nou, i'm pretty sure a team like Man City can do it too. We have been CRYING for a good Center Back for more than 3 years now. WE CAN NOT always depend on our forward to score many goals to cover our awful defense. I HATE TO SAY IT, but its very Likely that we will pay for this like we did last season.

Barca is a short team and that makes aerial plays difficult for them. In some situations they use a zone marking system, in other they mark man to man – their rivals take advantage when they get set pieces. they have to avoid conceding risky free kicks and corners.

The defense is the weakness of Barca, if they want to continue their path back where they are world champions, they need to fix the defense fast.. It is not hard to find a quality centreback actually, but because Barca is playing passing and possession, they are more demanding in the qualities, especially technique and composure to pass the ball out of defense instead of just clearing it..

Well said, it's what kept them from getting a CB until now. First, Barca went to Milan for Thiago Silva, but he refused and opted to join his teammate Ibra on a double deal. They wanted Hummels(Injured) and David luis (Mourihno). So yea, most of the defenders they are going for are hard to get. but is settling for any other defenders is going to solve their issue? without creating new issues (def-midfield linking)

Very good comment Durg ;) Barca has the best midfield in the world but if a team is able to bridge this midfield - they suck. And the Goalkeeper isn't that good too.

I think that in big games, Barcelona turns up their game. Maybe we can say lack of desire and motivation, when they play with small teams but, you saw against City, totally different team. I used to say that if Valencia can beat Barca at the Camp Nou, City will have an easy game on their hand. Turned out, Barca outplayed them, and won convincingly. So I'm sure against City or any other bigger games, you gys will pounce back. I do agree that a solid center back or two should be brought on to this team, if not to just make Pique fight for his place, cuz in recent games he has shown complacency creeping on him.

At least you have more quality to survive and win the game compare to Man Utd. You said Barca need central defender for more than 3 years, we practically need defender and midfields for more than 3 years! Think of it as a great team but not complete. We are need a massive overhaul to come back as one of the elite team of the world.

Great game! Despite winning 16 cups in 6 years, Barca needs to keep its motivation and focus going. They need to work on their pace against bigger teams. Neymar has to step up his game. He should stop cutting in and instead use his fast runs in the wide left flange to create space for Messi and Fabregas/Iniesta in the middle. He should basically stick to his signature plays.

Barcelona's 2 Centerbacks: Mascherano 175 cm (5'9") and Puyol 178 cm (5'10") Holy Guacamole!

Good result but at times intensity was not very high, no disrespect to Almeria. Still a few gems of a goal. Messi's free kick is a classic. And Xavi's curling shot was awesome too. Great to see Pujol score an opportunistic goal too.
