lol @whoever is thumbing me down. either you didnt' watch the match, or you just need to get a clue about football. OR it's just some butthurt english fan who is hating because they hosted a match which reminded them how bad sucks their national team. but hey, nothing is really changed, is it? once again are foreigners the ones bringing good football to england. take no offense, i love your country anyway.

Fantastic game of football by both sides. Both coaches applied similar tactics by trying out new legs for experience sake. then, the jokers came on. Pirlo was a constant threat with his passes, Mikel and Onazi did well the middle of the pack. I am particularly impressed with the fact that Nigeria played 3 home based players in the back 4 (right back, left back, one Central). they have a lot to take back home and improve on. both teams had their fair share of possession, but Italy took total charge in the final third.. This is a good sign for Nigeria (come june 2014) we will go far in the world cup (quarter finals or semi's at least).

The Nigerian team has definitely gotten better in the past three years. They definitely played hard today and the fatigue from the flight to England and the WC qualifying match during the weekend definitely caught up with them. However great match by both teams!!
